About 4/5 days after ovulaton I used the bathroom and when I wiped myself there was a brownish discharge on the toilet paper. It looked like when I wipe right when I start my period before the actual flow begins. This happened to me twice that day, but then it stopped and nothing since. I can usually tell when I'm about to start b/c 2/3 days before I'll have really slight cramps. I can barely even feel them, but I know my period is around the corner. The first two days of my period I have severe cramps. On the day when I had the brown discharge I was also cramping, very lightly, the way I cramp the days prior to my period. From what I have read this sound like implantation bleeding, but can it last only one day?...not even that, just twice when I went to the restroom. I've still been having heavy discharge, similar to discharge that occurs around/during ovulation, but it's pretty clear...no brown pink or red spotting. Is this normal? One more question...I know a fertilized egg can be passed during the menst cycle without the woman ever knowing if the egg doesn't actually implant itself inside the uterus, but if the egg is fertilized and implanted, therefore you're pregnant, but don't know it b/c you haven't missed your period yet and it's too early to test...can you miscarry before your missed period and never know you were pregnant? If so, what can cause this and is it preventable? I know this is alot, but any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance to those who put forth the effort in providing me with any answers!!! ↓

I cant quite grasp when af is due.. but sounds like you had possible implantation bleeding. Yes, it's usually one or two days and way lighter then af.
The answer to your second question is yes you can m/c before your missed af I have bled a couple days earlier and had bfp hpts. It's called a chemical pg (hate that word) means your egg was fertilized but didnt implant and you go on to have your cycle sometimes a day or two late and sometimes a bit more heavy bleeding and cramping.

I did read somewhere (I don't remember where) that alot of miscarriages happen around the time of a womans period and she never knows she was pregnant. I don't know if this is true or not b/c I don't remember where I read it or if it was a reputable source. I don't believe there is any way to prevent it since it is so early typically there is something wrong with it. I know this is not much help, but I see noone else has replied yet. ↑

AIDEN------- I miscarried before my af was due, I was on bc pills, and having hours of dance practice for 8 days straight. Since I was on bc i thought I wasn't PG and I mis-carried because I overworked my body. Plus the hormone from the bc didn't allow the baby to attach itself completely. ↑

It sounds to me like u had implan bleedin.You are lucky to have a light brn color. For me.... I got my af right on 2nd may(as my fertility map showed) This time so vierd that i din't get cramps a day before , not even on 2nd morning.( before af i usually have severe cramps ) 3-4 days ago, i had nausea n little vomit. i was feeling bloated n stomach was feeling stretched n there was some kind of feeling below belly button.i thought this cycle has worked for me as this time no cramps BEFORE AF!!!! But again today, i got it!!!!! is it actually af ??? it's red but not a very heavy flow(not light as well, just ok) If this is af , then y was i feeling pregnant and no signs of af (cramps). Not having cramps a day before happened to me after years.....can it be implantation bleeding??? does impl. bleeding has to have brownish colour? Can it come after 14 days of ovulation??? (my ovulation on 17th)...... before af , i dint have any signs of cramps but now m having.....can it be implantation bleeding? Aiden, you let me know the latest with you...did u take a HPT?

Rammy, Implantation bleeding does not have to be brown. It can be brown or usually a light pink color. Since you are bleeding what color is it? If it's bright red it's prob not implan bleed. I'm not sure about the whole cramping situation. That is strange that this is the first time it's happened in years, but the body can be unpredictable so it could be a variety of things. Did you have sex on or around the time you were ovulating? Did he ejaculate in you or did anything happen to make you think might be pregnant or are you ttc? Implant bleed usually occurs btw 6-10 day post-ovulation, but this could vary from woman to woman b/c of course each of our bodies work according to its own unique system and if what I was experiencing was IB then it occured around the 4th day post ovulat. That's why I asked b/c I thought that was a little early for IB. Have you missed af yet? When you began bleeding was it time for you to start ? How long have you been bleeding? I think IB only last a couple of days. I also remember reading that IB can occur at the time you're supposed to start and can be confused w/ af...I'm pretty sure I read that. I don't know...trying to fig out if you're preg when it's too early to test is frustrating b/c alot of things are ambiguous and there are so many exceptions. If the blood is red, or looks like it normally does when af comes and last more than a couple day it's prob not IB. Also, w/ IB you shouldn't bleed or discharge to the point where you need to wear a pad or tampon. You might need a panty liner, if that, and you should't even fill that up. Hope this helps. No, I haven't taken a hpt yet. Af isn't due for a couple more days so I was going to wait and see if I'm even late or not before I take a test. If I did have IB then, from what I read, a blood test should be able to detect any preg hormone by now, but like I said I want to wait and see if I start or not. Oh and one more thnig...if you don't experience IB that's pretty normal. I wanna say something like only 30% of women actually have it. May not be exact, but it's a fairly small percentage. When I find out if my eggo is or isn't prego I'll let you know. ↑

Hi Aiden, When I was pregnant before I had increased CM (cervical mucus), so I know it is common. Are you taking pre-natal vitamins? If not, start taking them. Other than that, just eat healthy...healthy babies are meant to survive, so don't worry and let us know how things pan out!!! Baby Dust to U!!!!! ↑

Aiden, I'm not sure on the IB as I've never experienced it(or never noticed). I found out on cd23 I got a faint positive (9dpo) and on cd 26, 12dpo, there was no doubt as the test line was a lot darker than the control. I'd say you are safe to use a hpt and get a fairly acurate result if you don't want to wait for aunt flow. From what I've read online, IB occures 10-16dpo, but everyone is different so you never know. Good luck! ↑
