I don't know a whole lot about gestational diabeties, except that it can cause your baby to grow larger , and when your baby is larger that can increase the chance you may need a c-section. But like i said i don't know a whole lot about it, if you have it i suggest you talk to your doctor aobut all of your concerns. i'm sure he/she can answer everything.

I have GD and due to my sons predicted size we are going to have a c section. At first I was kinda worried and didn't want to but now I know that GD babies can be much larger and have broad shoulders, which could cause him harm coming out. Also he could go into distress eaiser if i did go vaginally. But everyone is different and your doctor will make the right choice for you and your baby. Good luck!
