Hi everybody, I just wanted to know if an E.T.P. pregnancy test is accurate or not. I am 16 years of age and I'm not ready to have a kid yet! I'm scared if I am pregnant!!! I recently yesterday took a pregnancy test and it said nagative. I hope this is true. help me plz ↑
I'm in the same boat as most of you all... I'm 24 days late, been dizzy, MOODY, increased appetite, about 2 weeks ago I was always feelin like I was gonna throw up, I'm ALWAYS tired, and I just "feel" preggo... yet on april 25th and may 6 and again this morning I've had 4 neg urine tests (2 today one HPT and one DR) they did a blood test and I'll know wed the result from that.. I am supposed to get the Gardasil shot, what if my blood test is neg and I still don't get my period, should I not get the shot, should I get an ultrasound? HELP????!!!! ↑
Just like many of you, I am relieved to find this forum..here's my story...
I am 24 years old and should have gotten my period on April 24th, 2008. As of today, May 19th, I've had about 9 negative HPT and 2 negative blood tests. I'm now 24 days late. I had sex with my husband the first day I was late (4/25/08) and didn't use any type of BC. I had an ultrasound about 2 weeks ago to check for cysts, everything was fine. I also had a blood test for my thyroid, everything was fine. Is it possible I got pregnant from that one day and it was enough to cause me to miss my period. I have been nauseous for almost 24 hours straight and haven't thrown up, my nipples are sore and I kept feeling like I was getting my period and had cramps, but only a cloudy discharge.
I need guidance and support, I feel pregnant but just want to know for sure.....what do you all think? ↑
Like many of you i have also had a negative blood test and many negative urine test,I 'am not to sure when i would have conceived but we were trying! i have been feeling really really dizzy and light headed,enlarged boobs,sore stomach and slight pains like i 'am going to get my periods but nothing yet! I'am so nervous not knowing if i'am or not i have never missed a period before please help ↑
well heres my story been on depo for2 years came off it in nov periods came back in jan and regular in march period now 4 days late and sore boobs done a test but negative any help appriecated i feel pregnant and we have been trying. ↑
I am also in this same boat. I often don't receive positives for some time but in this case it seems excessive. I actually wasn't trying to get pregnant at all. I didn't even really think I was fertile but about two weeks before my period was due to start I started feeling that familiar pregnant feeling. I've been pregnant six times, this would be seven so it's not like I'm not familiar with the symptoms. But I am prone to miscarriage and only have two children in all those pregnancies. I should have started on May 1st. It's obviously now May 20 and still no period. I have taken seven stick tests and a blood test and all were negative. Which is fine but doesn't account for all the symptoms. I have actually gotten negative blood test twice before when I actually was pregnant. I'm a little concerned that I have a serious problem if I'm not pregnant. On the exact day I would have had my period I had vague spotting and that hideous pelvic floor pressure that I always get when pregnant right around the implantation time. I'm at a loss. I thought I was the only one seemingly incapable of getting a positive pregnancy test. I appreciate that other people are in the same boat. Clindholm, I appreciate what you're saying but one of my pregnancies, unfortunately one that I lost, I got a positive stick test so I went in and had a blood test (required on base to get an appointment) and it was negative. I took another a week later and it was positive. So blood tests aren't always more sensitive or the standards of the lab techs may be higher than the average as far as numbers go.
i'm worried also I have had 6 negative HPT'S and 1 neg blood test but still no Aunt Flow.... I'm 10 weeks PP and I have 3 other children. My husbadn is hoping and praying that I am...I'm worried and scared all together..When should I test again? ↑
Hello all, like many of you I have found this forum and all of your posts very useful. I have not been trying to get pregnant. I am 28 years old and in fact only had sex for the first time three weeks ago. We used the pull out method as a form of birth control but were both pretty drunk at the time. Now I am about 6-9 days late for my period which is usually like clockwork. I have had four negative pregnancy tests however and so I wonder if the 99% accuracy that tests claim to have is really false. From reading everything here it sounds like it could be. I have not had a lot of symptoms associated with pregnancy other than some weight gain and breast tenderness like I am about to start my period. I have also experienced some cramping which is not something I have ever had associated with my period. I guess I will just keep taking tests for now and go get a blood test if I don't get my period soon. I just think it is highly ironic for me to skip a period right now considering my circumstances. Wow... I'm not the only one yay!
My stories a bit different but here I go... On march 3-7 I spent a week in holiday with my fiancée (at the time) and well we hadn't seen each other in 2 months and I guess that you can put the rest together... We didn't use any form of BC and he probably ejaculated in me at least 10 times over the trip,,,
Anyways on the 7th when I got home I had odd spotting (2 weeks early) that lasted overnight and was light. Then two weeks after that on March 23rd I had my period, it was normal flow but it only lasted 2 days. Around this time I started feeling pukie, had headaches, moody, and my breasts were a bit puffy...I was really stessed at this point because we had broken up... I was semi worried so on April 9th I took a at home test... Negative... Just to calm my nerves I made a Dr appointment and on April 14th, again negative.I took it as "ok, not pregnant" and wrote it off...
Now is where it gets interesting...
The pukieness continued for 2 weeks until mid-late April, along with the other symptoms, then I got my period on April 27th. It was really light and short but again I just wrote it off because of the negative tests... Well, May came and by mid May I had to buy all bigger bras, I've gone from a B to a C. My breasts have been a B since grade 7... Plus they are now tight in a C and they're getting bigger. There not sore or anything... Other then the breasts I've been moody and sleepy and hungrier... So then May 18th rolls around and no period... exactly a week later I started but it was REALLY LIGHT and almost nothing... Lasted 2 days... So, this it where I sit, possibly 12 weeks pregnant...
My questions are:
Could I have tested to early?
If I am pregnant I would be 12 weeks, would I have more symptoms?
Has anyone else breasts grown like crazy?
Anything else you can think of. ↑
Hey guy's here's my story (JUNE 3RD)... Okay, April 19th and April 30th... I had unprotected sex... (I know dumb idea)... 6 days later, I start my period, which was earlier (usually 1st or 2nd of each month)... It lasted about only a couple of days and was different from my usual flows... Ne ways, about maybe a little over a month (guess 1 month and 8 days) later, I took a pregger's test at home, it came up slightly positive (faded)... So I made an appointment at the health clinic, at this time I was experiancing my early period (more like spotting)... The nurse said it was impossible because I was bleeding, she took a blood test anyways, and it said negative... But I am still for about 2 weeks have been getting pregger symptoms... Sore breasts, changes in moods, change in color of my areolas, food cravings, (I eat like a cow right now), nausea, exc... Ne suggestions on rather I took the tests to soon or could they be wrong, I have a very big concern because everyone around me has all said that I'm defenitly pregnant, but I would have to wait until like 2 months pregger's for the signs to appear or give my hcg levels time to adjust... So yeah, ne advice or what not, cause I'm really scared, confused, exc.. Hoping I didn't misscarry or anything. ↑
I have a similar situation but could use some help. My last period began April 24th. When I was supposed to start again on May 19th but all I got was some pink fluid..little bit of spotting as well. I have had very mild cramping since but nothing more. I have had 4 negative HPT's each taken atleast 3 days apart. I haven't experienced any pregnancy symptoms other than eating alot, but I do that from time to time. So, I can't figure out what's going on. With my other three pregnancies they have shown positive right away. Any suggestions? ↑
It is so hard to wait for the weeks to go by. It has been 18 days since my last period. I have had 6 neg hpt and one neg hcg blood test. I am 29 years old and have never been late before. We have been trying for 1 1/2 years. I have had some mild cramping off and on and my nipples are very tender. Some days my breasts are tender and other days not. I dont know if it is all in my head or if I am actually prego. My Dr said to just wait and see if I start. Isn't there something else they can do to try and see? I guess it would not show up on an Ultrasound yet? I would be 6 weeks prego if I am. Or is it all in my head? ↑
I'm SO happy I came across this forum..it's nice to know I'm not alone =) Ok well my situation is this: I had sex on May 5th this year and was VERY careful about it. And this was 2 days before my period started. I had a very heavy but short flow so I didn't worry about pregnancy. May 8th was the last day of my period and now here I am almost 20 days late. I thought I might be pregnant because my cousins have all had periods while preg so I took a few HPTs all neg. But my period still hadn't come so I went and got a blood test...still neg. That was a week ago and I still haven't started. False negatives happened to 3 of my cousins so does that run in the family? I just want to be safe if I am preg because I've never been this late before or felt this way my boobs are sore, I get nauseous almost every day, I can't stand certain smells anymore like my favorite shampoo or chicken which I love. Also I've been peeing like crazy, very tired getting dizzy and bloated. Not sure what to do anymore or what to think. I just want to know if I am. Kind of hoping yes I've always wanted to be a mom but I know the father of the baby doesn't want kids and we're not even together. I guess all I can do is wait and see if I am or not =( please keep me in your prayers as I will all of you. ↑
DO NOT!!!! let them put you on tablets to make you ovulate. My doc did this and I lost my baby because of it. Make sure check check and check again. I had a miscarage and went to see if it would be ok to start trying again because the last preg was 17 weeks along with twins and I got very run down. I wanted to make sure I was ok to get preg again. He told me I wasn't ovulating and put me on a drug to make me ovualte and come back in a week to see. I went back in the week like he asked after taking the drug and he said I was seven weeks preg. I lost the baby 2 weeks later. So be sure you aren't. Sorry to be so forward. Don;t mean to be neg. Just be sure. I trusted a professional and it cost me my baby ↑
So how late were you when they found a heartbeat? I had a negative blood test and negative hpt and I'm 3 weeks late and have every preg symptom in the books. ↑
Wow this has helped me out alot.. i just hate the waiting .. here is my story if anyone can help me out or keep me up dated that would be great.. Its july 19th and i have not had my period since about the second week in may im not sure what day but it was inbetween the 12th and the 14th but i know it was really light and did not last more then 3 days.. norm is about 5.. i norm have a 28 day cycle give or take a few days sometime... i have been late before a week or two but never this late and i have never missed more then one period.. i have every preg symptom there is out there .. and it wont go away.. i belive i could be 9 weeks preg but it could be more then that... i have taken 4 at home tests and all have been negative but they were walmart and dollar store brand and belive they are just crap... yet still i sit here right now sick as all get out... with every symptom.. my boobs have not been sore till today! but now im gettin like a tingle in them...every one around me says i am preg.. the smell of everything makes me sick and i know its not in my head... i am goin to get a blood tests done but after reading so many stories on here about gettin back negative blood tests im now scared, cause i dont want them to put me on something and have it hurt my baby ah i dont know.. i just hate waiting .. im either pregnant or dieing, lol well it feels like that any way! ↑
So i wrote on this site in jan when i had period problem. well they just happened again in june!!! so i took another pregnancy test , only this time it had two pink lines! i am 7 weeks prego everyone!!!! so i guess i am not in-fertile afterall!!!!! had my first ultra sound yesterday and saaw my little peanut! ↑
Kara, hey remember me? I had told you not to think you were infertile and we had period issues in January at the same time? Well mine was what is believed to be another misscarriage. lizwicker, first off, just to let you know that the tests at the dollar store and walmart are accurate and cost a heck of alot cheaper than the other ones. I got two positive ones from the dollar store with this pregnancy at 3 weeks preg and the other tests I had taken from other companies were negative before that. You may be to early for you HCG or maybe you are not pregnant. Also, there are rare instances where a womans HCG does not register for whateever reason. I know someone who it never registered on even when she was clearly pregnant and baby was seen on ultrasound. It can happen but it is very rare. Have you found out yet? request ultrasound if not. Can't fool that. Unless it is not in uterus and nonone looks elsewhere. good luck ↑
Yes i belive you are right... lol and if im not prego lol im dieing or something tho for real! I started taking prenantals and there helping somewhat.. i have yet to go get a blood test.. been busy with work.. i plan on goin and gettin some more cheap tests tho to see if i can get one of them to say positive ... there only 99.9 percent correct if they say possitve .. if they dont its about a 50 percent chance thats its right.. I belive the boxs should say that on them.. so many careless woman lose babys cause they are indeed prego and dont know.. and take a stupid test which says no .. and then go do something stupid to hurt there babys! So yea for now im just gona keep takeing these nasty vitiams.. ahhh the smell of them makes me so sick.. lol but right now the smell of everything does... haha.. so yea keep me up to date... and i will let you all know if im goin nuts or i am indeed prego! ↑
hey brightmoon. yes i do remember you! i am sorry you miscarried earlier this year. but congrats on this one!!! i am very happy for you. i am 9 weeks now. hows your pregnancy been? everything smooth? do they know what it is yet? oh and liz, from what it sounds if you were nine weeks i think a test would be able to show by now. when i though i was prego this time i used a cheap one from a convenience store and it was correct. they all seem to work well. but who knows all womans hormones are very different. let us know what happens when you get a blood test ok? ↑
Hey Kara. I have been feeling ok. I had a blood pressure scare earlier but it was ok last visit. I had severe pre-eclampsia with my 1st pregnancy which didn't go away even after delivery in 1998 but I have been off blood pressure meds for about 6 months now so keep your fingers crossed. I have been having horrible heartburn lately. What about you? How are you feeling? Keep in touch and e-mail me if you can. ↑
Kara, almost forgot, I do not know what I am having. the little one what moving around so much at the last U/S that it is possible to be a boy but we are not sure. The tec could hardly even measure the heart rate because the little peanut was moving so much! My son and daughter can't wait till January!! ↑
yeah i get heartburn really bad too. doesn't help that my husband force feed me fruit all day!! i am doing good. i have been quite sick though. very naucious, and have to force my self to eat every day. i work outside and it beens like no less than a hundred degrees out. and thats really. sucks. i am sooo ready for my second trimester! ↑
