I would like to know if anyone upon release from the hospital after a cesearan section was given any antibiotics along with your pain medication ? I was released from the hospital and returned with severe pain in my pelvis. I was admitted back into the hospital and given tons of antibiotics and eventually released a week later with a nurse to come to my house to repack my wound. I found out that I had a ecoli infection along with two other diseases within my incision. Has anyone had a ecoli infection after their c-section and what did you do afterwards?

I was only given pain meds when I went home and luckily had no problems. Your experience sounds just awful.

I've had 4 sections and have always been told the antibiotic is in the IV that is kept in for the first 24 hours. After that I have been sent home with pain meds only. I have had 4 and never even had a slight infection. So sorry that happened to you.
