i am - very happily - five weeks pregnant after a miscarriage two months ago. my hormone levels are good (hcg more than doubled in 24 hrs, progesterone 29), but i can't shake the feeling that something will go wrong - like last time. i have breast swelling and tenderness and a lot of fatigue, but no other symptoms. should i be concerned or it is just my worries getting the better of me?

misspie,
I wouldn't worry too much, I know, easier said than done. But with all 3 of my pregnancies I had those same symptoms real early, but the others like morning sickness don't usually show until around 6 weeks or a little later. It is normal for you to worry. We had our 3rd baby in May and he was stillborn, due to placenta abruption. I was 38 weeks. So if we try again, I will be a basket case. I am just trusting in God to be what He is, healer, comforter, provider, best friend! Good luck and before you know it you will be sick and getting chubby!!! ha ha ha--Lisa

Be thankful you dont currently have many symptons and dont worry. Im 9 1/2 weeks preg after miscarriages and i did nothing but worry the 1st 7 weeks b/c i had no symptons besides breast tenderness. Then at 8 weeks every possible sympton hit full force and i have severe morning sickness. I wish i could have enjoyed those 7 weeks instead of worrying. So just relax and thank God you have it easy!

breast tenderness, fatigue and frequent urination were the only symptoms i got...when i started progesterone therapy it kicked in a bit of nausea but i think it was more from the medication, i never threw up once. i believe that faith and positivity can go a long way. i know just how you feel though, i had a miscarriage at 10 weeks then got pregnant the second cycle after (i wasn't trying because i was too scared to get pregnant again because i was scared of miscarrying once more) i took progesterone and prayed a lot and now i have a beautiful 7 month old daughter. its very normal to be scared after a miscarriage when you get pregnant, i think that we all go through that fear of it happening again. my symptoms came and went several times during the first trimester and i would cry and freak out and go to the doctor telling them that i lost symptoms just like last time--then have an ultrasound and see my little tadpole waving at me, there will be scary moments, its normal. good luck and god bless!
