Question: Hey ladies, I know some of you told me months ago there is no way they would miss a twin on an u/s at 20 weeks, but I am officially confused....I am 29 weeks and went into preterm labor Thursday night. Contractions were horrible and every 2 minutes. (They stopped it) Well, I have had so many symptoms that would make me believe I am having twins, but the typical things like the HCG and u/s say no. However, when I had an u/s in Feb. the tech told me I was having a boy...my hubby knew it before the tech said so it was that obvious. Now after I went into preterm labor, they did another u/s at 29 weeks and the tech said there is no mistake it is a girl!!! What the heck....they also said that my baby was measuring small. I have not had any problems in previous pregnancies that would cause me to have preterm labor. Everyone else I talk to say to listen to my gut and mothers instinct and such...what do you think??? Help please...curiousity is getting the best of me!!! ?

Answer: boys can look like girls early on so maybe it was just a mistake sorry but I still believe theres only one in there =
Answer: I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with twins- trust me there is no way you are having twins. It is so obvious on the ultrasounds- one baby can no longer hide behind the other after the first u/s. We could clearly see both sacs by 6 weeks. Not to mention by 29 weeks they would clearly hear two heartbeats. Sorry to dash your hopes, but you are definately no having twins if they havent been detected by 29 weeks. Rememer u/s are not 100% accurate in determining sex- only birth is. =
