Ok, i am 35 wks today and yesterday i almost passed out at my docs office. for the last few days, i've had headaches, swollen feet and hands and a little in the face, and felt queezy, been short of breath. so she made me go to the hospital, and my bloodwork was ok, but she is making me do a 24 hour urine test to check for protein and creatines. has anyone had this and it not be caught in the bloodwork? or maybe its just starting and they can't catch it yet? or will a urine test be more accurate? ive had 2 kids but never had this before. ↓
With my daughter I was extremely swollen and gained a TON of weight. I kept thinking that I had preeclampsia because I went from a size 6 to a size 9 shoe and was quickly growing out of those. I had to take the urine test and it came back negative. I gained 60lbs with my pregnancy and lost all my swelling and 30lbs within 3 days. I'm still not convinced that something wasn't going on as my blood pressure went up towards the end as well, but it's characteristically low and that may have effected the outcome. Being as my "high" pressure would be in the upper "normal" for most others. Good luck...drink lots of water and keep checking with your doctor. ↑
