my best friend just gave birth just shy of 32 weeks to a beautiful baby girl who was found to have an intestinal obstruction while still in the womb about a week ago... once she was born, they ran a series of tests and found that the obstruction was most likely caused by a perforation and was much more serious then expected... today she had surgery - they were only able to save 25% of her intestines and said that she will need to be placed on TPN (total parenteral nutrition) indefinetly and could potentially have other organ issues because of that, and in the end be in the hospital for anywheres from 6mos. to a year... has anyone out there every experienced or had a loved one go thru this that would have any info to share with me... i am beside myself with sadness for her and her family... thank you!!! ↓
