im pregnant:: btween the 2nd and the 10th of this month i had a seizure.. on friday 13th i started having brownish discharge.. i went to my obgyn two days ago and was told that my baby didnt have a heartbeat. i was crushed of course... im confused bcuz i dont know if its me but i feel like a mini kick inside i really want a 2nd opinion asap.. the y told me i could either vacuum it out or they will give me a pill which will cause it to come out.. the baby is inside the uterus is that normal?? if the baby is not living wouldnt it just come out with blood?? today the 20th its going back to brownish discharge from the 14th thru19th it was reddish but its just a regular paper towel not a kotex or nothing.. please give me advice of what i should do.. :( ↓
I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I also would want a second opinion by way of another ultrasound, more bloodwork or checking the heartbeat with the Doppler. I don't know which option that the doctor gave you is better, so I have no advice about that. I would just make sure the doc was absolutely sure that there was no heartbeat. I'm so sorry and hope they are wrong. ↑
If you aren't atleast 8 weeks pregnant then I wouldn't do anything yet. A lot of the time the heartbeat isn't visible until about 8 weeks. I'm confused, do you mean that you had siezures everyday from the 2nd to the 10th? Or did you have one siezure? Or are you saying that you think you got your postitive test between the 2nd and the 10th? How far along should you be? ↑
I agree i wouldn't do anything yet!! I have seen so many stories of women that were told they m/c and they refuse the d-n-c to find out their pg is fine. also they had an incident i read where the women was getting the u/s before the d-n-c and the tech didn't know she was about to have a d-n-c and said yeah there is your baby....and she was like what I was about to get a d- n- c...thank god they checked again !!!!!! I hope everything is ok..knowing how far along you are helps to determine like mjvdec01 said. Please let us know. I just said a quick prayer for you. ↑
get a 2nd opinion with an intravaginal ultrasound and get to hcg tests 48 hours apart even i u have to go to the er tell them u have pain and are pegnant they will do an ultrasound there let us know what happens I will pray for u! ↑
schar - that is funny cause in the past I have found out I was prego thru ER, I tell people the same thing usally if your doc can't do things quick enough and you are worried then the ER will do a complete work up if you tell them you have been cramping and she can also say spotting. ↑
this happened to my sister, she got a 2nd oppinion, and they also found no heartbeat, she wanted the vacuum, but her husband's family told her it would be better to let it just come out naturaly, so thats what she did. It happened at work about 2 weeks later in the middle of her shift, there was blood everywhere and she sid it was the worst pain/ experiance ever. Im sory you are dealing with this, but i wouldnt do what she did. ↑
