Hi all I just finished my second round of Clomid since a miscarriage in March. Now every time I am active like mowing, gardening, or walking on treadmill I start spotting. I have never done this before. Have any of you? I am supposed to be ovulating right now. I do not know if the Clomid will work or not with the spotting. I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow morning. Please give me any info if this has happened before or if it is common on Clomid. I took it six months last summer and it never happened then. I also take Glucophage 500mg twice every day and Clomid 50 mg. Best of luck to all.

This thread is hitting very close to home. My sister-in-law is going through this now and I was hoping your stories here would help me gain some insight. Every story makes me tear up. I hope to see all of you on the other multiples threads on this site very soon... discussing belly issues and names for your baby (or twins or more!). My heart is with all of you. My twins are a joy... and I hope every single one of you has a baby (or two) of your own very soon.

Leslie, I'm telling you.... it just may happen once you get some time to relax. Enjoy your vacation... you deserve it. Making (trying) babies isn't easy work, ya know? Still rooting for you, though.

Sorry Elizabeth I meant to say how long have you been on the clomid not what dose ...

I was on the clomid for 3 cycles. Does being on it longer make you more likely to have multiples?

Did any of you get the same symptoms that AF was coming after being on the Clomid but were pregnant?

Elizabeth - what days did you take the clomid? 5-9 or 2-6???? I don't know about the longer your on it thing....I have heard once you go off it you are at higher risk of concieving but thats it. Do you have twins in your family? how many mths were you on it? Did you ovulate at all on your own? give us details girl. How are you so relaxed oh man... Michelle I don't start until next mth sorry.

Hi Lauren. I was on the clomid days 5-9. We don't have any twins in our family anywhere.I was on clomid for 3 months. I do ovulate on my own without a problem. I have had 3 prior miscarriages and my doctor thought this would help with that. I guess I'm not worries because I've lost 3 babies already and can't imagine that these will stick. I'll be more stressed if they do, until they are born healthy.

hey girls! another success story . i have been on clomid for two months with ovulation but failing to concieve . i went into the fallopian test check by x-ray which shows that there was a tremendoue blockage on both of them , i have been set to two mini surgeries (done in the clinic) to open my tubes, the first month after this mini simple procedure to get rid of the blockage i was pregnant with the help of clomid another time. i am 6 weeks pregnant now. so please girls , do not start taking clomid before checking your tubes.
good luck for you all

Hallosh - congrats that is wonderful news...wonder if its twins?

Name: Ann | Date: Jun 19th, 2005 10:16 AM
Elizabeth- Congratulations!! It is so wonderful to hear about your story. I also ovulate on my own and got pregnant last time on my own, but miscarried at two months. This is why my doctor also recommended clomid. I can understand your worries. I am hoping to get pregnant soon, but I fear that it won't be a completely happy time for fear that I might lose another baby. I wish you the best!

Hi Lauren- I am also planning on taking clomid soon. My doctor asked me to take it on days 3-7. I read a lot about it on the internet and there was a study done on days to take it and its correlation with being able to conceive. It was a good article. You can read it at conceivingconcepts.com. It is called Clomid- What, Why and How. They did say that an earlier start date may result in more pregnancies. Let me know how it goes:) I wish you lots of luck!!

Hi Ann - thanks for the advice I'm gonna read it now. Looks like we might be in this together

I just finished my first round of clomid and then husband insemination, however, it did not work as I am not pregnant. And to make matters even worse, I still haven't gotten my period since the insemination (but am definitely not pregnant). Now I am on prometrium to bring on my period. How frustrating. It's one thing to not get pregnant, but another setback when you don't even get your period after all that. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts about this?

Name: Elizabeth | Date: Jun 20th, 2005 11:23 AM
I didn't get a period either after taking prometrium. Prometrium doesn't allow for your period to start. It took me two days one time and a week another time to get my period after I stopped the prometrium.

Elizabeth, as Korny as this sounds... you said you had three miscarriages already.... would you say your babies are all coming back to you at once? I'm not a very "spiritual" person, but I think this story could be true and if it were would be a Beautiful story to tell. You many tell your triplets later in life that they left you and then came back. Sounds Korny, huh? Oh well... congratulations (from a person still trying for one) By the way, I'm on Clomid 100mg.

Angie, I've thought the same thing. It's a possibility. My HCG is still rising well. I went to the doctor yesterday and he did another ultrasound and saw a sack. He said the other two could still pop up.

Angie - nice thought on the trip. I hope you get your period soon. Do you have any symptoms from the 100 mg? I am not sure if I want to go with the 50 first or the 100mg does anyone know if your chances are higher with twins on higher dose ...I assume they might be. Elizabeth...I am so encouraged by your story I would love to stay on line with you till you have them...how wonderful! where are u guys from...I'm in Canada

Hi Lauren. My doctor told me I had a 7% chance of twins. I had an ultrasound on Monday, everything looked good. he saw one sack. He said the others could pop up soon. I get another ultrasound Friday looking for heartbeats. I'm in Utah.

Elizabeth - let me know how friday goes....7% chance sure doesn't seem like much does it?

Funny Story... I finally got my period today and I called my friend to tell her how excited I was (so that I can start my Clomid100mg) I said, "guess what? I am so excited I got my period"... She goes, "GggirL, you're HAPPY about that?" I said, "well, yeah, I told you I'm trying to get pregnant" She goes, "Uhm, honey... getting your period DOESN"T mean you are pregnant... that's not how it works" I thought this was SO funny I almost peed my pants. She must've thought I was an idiot. This is my first Round of Clomid 100mg... please Cross your Fingers and Hearts for my husband, and I.

that is funny...how people don't see it as we do...good luck on the 100mg I start 100 in July.

Hi Elizabeth - How did you find out that you were pregnant? Did you wait and test or did your dr. do a blood test on you? I started my 50mg of clomid yesterday. I absoultely hate waiting to test. I feel like I read into every symptom. Wish us luck! ( I hope all of your babies pop up!)

Name: Elizabeth | Date: Jun 23rd, 2005 9:50 PM
Hi Ann. I founds out I was pregnant with a HPT. I took one two days before AF was due and got a negative. I was really disappointed and since I had another test (2-pack) I decided I would test again just in case and it was positive. I was so surprised! I hate waiting also. It is so frustrating. I am so impatient. I read into all the symptoms also and because I had miscarriages, I also read into those symptoms. I always feel like I'm cramping or bleeding. It's insane. Good luck to you. Why are you taking Clomid anyway? Have you had miscarriages? I'll find out tomorrow if any more babies have popped up and if they have little heart beats. Take care. Elizabeth

Elizabeth...I'm waiting patiently to hear how many babies are in there...pls let us know.

Hi Elizabeth- Thanks for sharing that information. Sometimes I think my Dr. is too relaxed,so I wanted to know if others that were taking clomid got blood tests or used HPT's. I am taking clomid for two reasons. First I had a miscarriage last March. We were devastated. I am so sorry for your losses. You must be a strong person. I also ovulate very irregularly. When I got pregnant I ovulated on day 21. In fact,my Dr. was taking blood that month to check for ovulation and they didn't think that I had. So, my husband and I tried for two months on our own since we lost the baby and now decided to give clomid a try. The first time we got pregnant it took us about a year. I know it is easy to say, but I hope you can relax this pregnancy and not worry too much about your symptoms. This is your time, enjoy it! Like Lauren said, let us know about those babies. I pray that you see all the little heart beats.
