I'm 41/2 weeks preagnant I was on clomid for 1 month, I'm also experiencing stabin pain in my abdomen, my Dr's nurse will be clling me today and I will ask her my friend whom is a nurse told me that may be normal since the uterus may be streaching. ↑
i am 23 and found out i am 8 weeks pregnant after clomid for 4 months. i had the cramping but my us showed two cysts from over stimulation of my ovaries. my next us is tomorrow. ↑
Congratulations! I am happy to hear your story of Clomid working for you. I am also on clomid but have not succeeded in getting pregnant. I am currently on 150 mg and am curious about what level you were taking it when you conceived. And again, Congratulations are in order!!! ↑
I am 27 weeks pregnant with twins. I too was taking Clomid. I gained 6 lb. the first 5 weeks. I also had pains on my side the first few weeks. This is my second pregnancy and this pregnancy is completely different then my first singleton pregnancy.Both times I was taking Clomid. I to got pregnant the second month on the medication. I found out it was twins at 6 weeks with an ultrasound. ↑
I was on clomid at age 23 after trying for 2 years to conceive my son (he'll be 2 in a week). I was on it for 6 months b-4 anything happened. I had a breeze of a pregnancy-no morning sickness just tired for the 1st trimester. Allan was 7 lbs 10 oz when he was born. The pains in your belly are just your uterus stretching and growing, don't worry about it too much! And, I'm 8 wks pregnant with baby #2! My husband and I did it on our own this time after only 2 months of "trying"! ↑
Hi Fiona, my doctor told me the same thing, but it depend on the dosis that you are taking. ok now i'm taking clomid for 2 months now and i'm not pregnant, can you tell me how long i have to wait to get pregnant.
I am going on Clomid for the first time next month and just curious if others had low pregesterone. My numbers this last month were 6.6!! I had 2 miscarraiges last year. I can get pregnant after 1 or 2 months but can not seem to keep the pregnancy. I am 35 years old though so I wonder if my age has allot to do with it. Let me know your thoughts. ↑
Hi , Im 27 and just took 2 pregnancy tests and they came out POSITIVE!! :) i also took clomid last month and got pregnant this month....i to have small cramping like period cramps. i will be making a dr. appointment in the AM according to the baby due calendar im 5 weeks pregnant ↑
I have had one birth through the use of clomid. Not to worry about the pains that usually means that the baby is implanting and you uterus is growing. I am currently on clomid. My first round I am trying for #2 I think I am pregnany but I have another week before I can test. ↑
I took clomid for three months before I finally became pregnant. We tried forever (2 years) and I was only 22. My baby girl just turned one last week. We have decided to try for another baby (been trying for 4 months with no luck). I have irregular periods and will probably end up going back on clomid. The longer I took it the worse the symptoms got. The hot flashes were the worst. I would wake up in the middle of the night dripping with sweat! But in the end, it is all worth it. Taking the basal temp. is for the birds, but it really works. Stick with it!! ↑
Clomid - I am suppose to start taking it this month. I am eager yet worried. I am on provera day 3 right now - I am suppose to go through 10 days of provera and then beging clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. I have had no testing done - I am 24 today! And we have just tried for 5 months to conceive and my cycles are not regular - they range from 26-35 days. Doc. thinks this will work for me - Do you guys have similary experiences? I am pregnant for the first time, and I too can thank clomid for my pregnancy. I am 15 wks into my prenancy, and I am only carrying one. The only issue I have had w/ clomid is my dr. could not tell wich side i had ovulated from, because the meds stimulated both ovaries. Otherwise, no issues at all. ↑
Hi, I'm 26 and I just finished my first cycle of clomid, i had a lot of pain in my lower abdomen when sitting and walking. the first day of my last period was dec 30/04, i'm due for blood work this week (day 24) and I hope i ovulated and maybe even got pregnant ↑

I just got put on clomid and just finished taking the pills. we have been trying for a year and i got pergnant in may 2004 a lost it and have been trying ever since. my dr say my overies are working i am just not ovulating ever month a i hope that clomid works for us like it has for ever one else. iam 30 yrs old and have been using clomid for 2months and when i got my blood test results back from the doctors it said i had not ovulated . could i be ovulating on a different day rather than day 21, also my last period was eight days late when i am normaly very regular why could this be.
my doctoor has told me to up my dose to 100 mg , hope this has a better affect. good luck to everyone and dont give up..... ↑
has many peole been on the lowest dose of clomid and fell pregnant streight away.. i think im being to impatient i want it to work steight away, is their any think else that you would sugest i could take that wiil give me more chance... will i be able to take folic acid aswell.......... take care everyone and good luck ↑
I am a week past by ovulation after taking clomid. I was pregnant last year by lost the baby at 9 weeks. We have been trying ever since with no luck. Hoping this first round of clomid will do the trick as I have been ovulating these past months, but my cycle is so irregular. Anyway holding thumbs for all of you too. Best of luck. ↑
hi fiona well i dont know about anything else u talked about but i do know that the pain ur having is normal its like a sharp stabbing pain, im 7 weeks i tried forever just like u and finally, and im also scared to misscarry but try not to do any heavy lifting anything that gets u exhausted get lots of sleep take good care of ur self ↑
I am 20yrs and have just started taking metformin and my doc gave me duphaston to get a period and than i am to take 100mg clomid days 1-5 of my cycle has any one else been given the higher dose from the start if so why? ttc 2years ↑
I am about 5 weeks pregnant (thanks to chlomid). 3 days ago I went into urgent care for terrible right abdominal pains, rt shoulder pain and some bleeding. My hCG level was 9000, equivalent to 5-6 wks pregnant. the pain subsided and came back the next day. We went into triage and they did an US. I was in so much pain- I couldnt breath, they wouldnt give me anything for the pain in case I would need surgery. They said it could be free flowing blood due to an ectopic pregnancy (I had a miscarriage in sep '04 at 8wks-also used chlomid). The Dr. then came in and said the pain I was experiencing was my uterus expanding and working harder because I am pregnant with twins! Boy was I shocked- how can it cause so much pain? Some of you have mentioned sharp pains- but like this? Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?? I have taken the last 2 days off work and wonder if I should take the rest of the week off? I am a teacher and my class is terrible this year. The pain is not as bad, just the sharp pains and some spotting at times (Dr. said that is due to implantation) Any advice is appreciated! Thanks. ↑
hi girls, christinam, i know how your feeling, i am 7 weeks pregnant and tomorrow am going for my 1st scan. i have been woken up during the night with these pains and it really starts me panicking cause i think that something is wrong!!! i hate being worried like this because its not good for me or baby!!! hopefully i will know more tomorrow ↑
I was just wondering if anyone that does have a period every month got pergant on clomid? I have a period every month mine is just always a week early. It was never like that untill i came off birth control even before i was out on it i was alway 28-30 day and i was just wondering if i had a good chance of getting pergnat the frist few times on clomid if anyone has any advise please write back i want a baby so bad and so does my husband. I go back to the dr next tuesday and i hope she gives me good news but i am already cramping like i am going to start. My prayers are with everyone trying and that are pergnat. ↑

Maria- Yes, I had very regular periods for the 2 1/2 years,(no luck getting PG) but after checking my ovulation each month for almost 2 yrs I went to my OB. I got pregnant my first time using Chlomid- although I did miscarry. I got pregnant the 2nd time using chlomid after the miscarriage. I think my body needed help allowing more eggs to be released, because I was ovulating but nothing more than that would happen. We needed chlomid! ;-) ↑
Hi Fiona. I was 28 when I began taking clomid. It wasn't working for me at 50mg, then my dr prescribed 100mg tabs. After 8 months of taking clomid, I became pregnant with triplets. I went into premature labor on 10/1/04. The babies were born (2 girls, 1 boy) but they only lasted for about 1 hr. Very, very sad. But I'm hopeful that next time it will be better. I am back on clomid, this is my first cycle. I'm hoping for only 1 baby this time. The fact that I got pregnant is of great joy to me since I thought for years I was infertile. I experienced the stabbing pains as well. I though I was getting my period, but instead I was pregnant. Good luck. Hope everything is fine. ↑
Fiona- I just started Clomid yesterday (day 5), My husband and I have been trying for the past 5 months. I have been ovulating but my cycles are not regular- 21- 27 days. My doctor wanted to put me on Clomid when we first began trying to regulate my cycles. I decided to wait a few months to see what happened. Over the past month, I have spoken to my doctor on a regular basis. I have also done a lot of research on the drug itself. There is an increased risk in multiple birth- I happen to think it is more than a 10% increase, my doctor thinks so as well. The pains that you are feeling are normal. As long as you don't start to bleed. Hopefully, the clomid works for me and my husband fast. If you are getiing worried about anything during your pregnancy, just call the doctor. If it is anything to be worried about, the doctor will see you. Good luck with everything and Congratulations! ↑
Hi, I am 22 yrs old and irregular on my period which my doctor had prescribed prometrium for me that is supposed to give me my period I started it on 01-12-05 & supposed to take for 9 days which I stopped on 01-25-05. Then I'm supposed to wait for my period which I started spotting on 01-18-05. My doctor told me to wait she said the first day of your bleeding to wait 5 days & start clomid 50 mg. Started clomid on 01-22-05 and supposed to take days 5 thru 9 of cycle, I stop taking clomid on 01-26-05 & on the last day of taking clomid I'm supposed to start intercourse and do it every other day for 10 days thats when I'm most fertile. She also told me that after intercourse each time to lay in bed up to 30 mins.So hopefully I will get pregnant this round doctor said I should take a pregnancy test on valentines day! Anybody know what symptoms I should look for to tell if I'm pregnant?Had lots of mood swings real tired all the time sore breasts and cramping in my stomach! Not sure if its from medication I guess it's a wait and see thing. Good luck To Everyone! ↑
