Hey, Talia, I haven't heard from you in a while, how are you?

Name: Talia | Date: Jan 10th, 2006 9:56 AM
Hello everyone. I havent posted lately b/c nothing has really changed with me. I am 10 weeks pregnant. I have to sore boobs and morning sickness, which is annoying. I stop taking the Prometrium next week, so that will be a HUGE relief. It makes me incredibly tired. My next appointment is January 25th and I will hear the heartbeat again and possibly have another ultrasound. Ill keep everyone posted. Also, this may br gross to some people, so sorry in advance, but I have been having brown leakage since week 8. It doesnt look like blood or smell like that, it is just funky colored. Anyone else experiencing this?

Name: Nikki | Date: Jan 10th, 2006 12:14 PM
Talia I never experienced that leakage I'm 14 weeks now. yeah I know i was kinda bored for a while at first cuz nothing really changed, but now I'm starting to show. It's so neat. I asked my doctor if it was ok to show this early and he said that smaller people tend to show earler. so you should probably start to show soon. Now other people can see that I'm pregnant too and not just myself. I felt the baby for the first time last night. it felt like someone poked me from the inside. It's so neat.

I am looking forward to going back to the doctor and hearing the heartbeat again. It will reassure me this pregnancy will make it to term. After my miscarriage last May, it is hard for be to be optimistic with this pregnancy. I am trying but it seems like since i want it so much, things will probably go wrong. I trust God will do whatever he thinks is best for Robert and me. Talk to you guys later. Also, I cannot feel or see my uterus getting bigger. Nikki, or anyone else, how early were you able to feel it?

Name: Nikki | Date: Jan 11th, 2006 12:16 PM
Talia I never tried to feel or look at my uterus. Everytime I went to the doctor he would check it and tell me it was the right size for how far along I was. You said your 10 weeks right, well in my book that I'm reading it says that you can feel your uterus just above your pubic bone at around 13 and 14 weeks. I'm sure everything is fine. Don't stress. In 4 weeks or so you might feel the baby move. I felt the baby move for the first time a few nights ago. It felt like a life size finger poked my stomach on the inside. I'm guessing it was his foot. But now I feel like I have a fish in my stomach. It's really a neat feeling. But anyway, you shouldn't worry, it's bad for the baby. I'm sure your baby is going to be just fine and so will you up. Cheer up, Your going to have a baby!!!!

Nikki, how do you know you are having a boy? Or is it just wishful thinking? I think I am having a boy b/c that is what my husband wants so bad.

Name: Nikki | Date: Jan 11th, 2006 3:18 PM
I don't know for sure. I just kinda have that feeling, you know what I mean? My entire family says "oh your carrying high, your gonna have a boy". And the heartbeat is a slower heartbeat also. They say girls have fast heartbeats and boys have slow heartbeats. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Do you have any certain feeling as to what gender your baby is. I'm so excited I can't wait to find out.

Hey guys well I have some good news!!!! I got my period today I've never been so excited in my life....... I'm just so ready to start my second round of clomid in another 4 days. Hope everyone is okay, baby dust to all.

It's good to read that other's like Debra are already starting to feel better at 9 weeks. I called my doctor worried yesterday because after a couple of weeks of feeling nausea all day I've suddenly started feeling much better in the past 3 days. The soreness in my boobs practically diasappeared although they still look bigger and the feeling of being nauseous was just replaced by the desire to eat all the time. My doctor agreed to see me after his other appointments yesterday afternoon (He's really great) and he did an ultrasound and the baby is doing great. I was even able to see his litlle arms and legs. I'm 9 weeks 5 days and I just have the feeling that it's a boy (maybe because we already have a daughter). Talia, I'm pretty small but other than my pants feeling a litlle tighter around the belly, I'm not really showing either. It kinda looks more like I gained a little fat around the belly from eating too much during the holidays. Anyways, good luck to all and baby dust to those still trying...

I have been so sick. I could not believe how sick I have been for the last two weeks until my husband woke me up and said that I had a fever the next day my 2 year old was also vomiting (even though he says he has a baby in his belly too I am willing to bet he does not have morning sickness.) I thought I would share this experience just because I thought it was horrible. Hopefully in a couple of days I will feel better. Side note, I also think that I am having a boy. I had the dream where I saw the baby and I even know what he looks like. I had the same dream when I was pregnant with my son and he looked the exact way I pictured.

Well Debra, I don't live in the US, although I plan to travel there to have my baby in Miami, just as I did with my daughter. I live in the Caribbeans and the way it works here, is that we don't go to a special place to see a technicien to have the ultrasounds, a few doctors (including mine) have an ultrasound machine in the room where they do our regular exams and they offer basically as many ultrasounds as you want. And the best part is that they are all included in the regular prenatal visits cost for the nine months.

so I finished my third round of clomid and the cycle i had in Nov. I did not take clomid so when I did not start in Dec. I assumed I did not O w/out the clomid. I went to the dr's and we discussed all the things that could be wrong (like PCOS) but then the nurse came to the door and said that there was nothing wrong and that I did O in Dec. and there was only one reason that I did not have a cycle and that is bc I am pregnant. My due date is Sept. 3

Hi Everyone, it was great to read all the postings from others on clomid. I am on my second month and due to start my period next week. I have sore breasts (I also get this before I start my period) and I have pain in my left side of my belly. Has anyone else had this? I also read that some of you have blood work done. My doctor has me on the clomid for four months and I do not see him in between-Is this normal? Anyway, reading these postings has been a great support-Thanks

Rhonda: My doctor prescribed clomid but is not monitoring me during my cycles. He's a RE so I'm pretty confident he knows what he is doing. I think the monitoring/ultrasounds/blood work is more important for women who aren't ovulating at all or need a shot of HCG (?) to kick off ovulation. I have a lutel phase defect, so I was ovulating before clomid and have a strong LH surge on my own. Hence, no blood work is necessary since about the only thing that causes LPD is low progestrone. FYI, I seem to always have pinching/cramping before I ovulate -- clomid seems to be making it a little worse than usual, but the pain is pretty similar, so I'm not too worried. If the pain is severe or consistent, I don't think it hurts to call your doctor's office and talk to a nurse to see if they think you need to come in. Clomid can, rarely, over-stimulate your ovaries.

Brandy, Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet that was a great surprize. We are 2 weeks apart. I am due 8-21-06. I go to the doctor on Monday to find out if the date is accurate. I am so happy for you. Keep us posted to how you are doing.

Anne, thanks for the feedback. I have been trying for three years and have had one miscarriage and one molar pregnancy. I had corrective uterus sugery last spring as I had a septate uterus. I am feeling really anxious about becoming pregnant and about a week before I am due to start I start calculating dates and recording symptoms. I have been doing this for two years now. I guess these past two months I have been even more anxious because I am hoping the clomid will help me concieve. Is anyone else feeling this? People say, "oh just forget about it and then you will get pregnant." I am finding this very difficult to do. Anyway, Good luck to all of you that are trying as well.

Hello. I am headed to the doctor in about 45 minutes. I think I may may had a miscarriage. I have had horrible cramping and have lost all pregnancy symptoms. I have also lost 3 pounds since I got pregnant. I am ten weeks. I hope my baby is still alive and stress from my husband leaving for military training is causing all my other symptoms. Ill let everyone know how it goes.

Talia please let me know how everything goes. Give me any news as soon as you can. I wish you the best.

Hello Everyone. I just got my period today with the help of progesterone.I am due to start clomid in a couple of days. I am kind of worried because this is my first and hopefully last cycle. I am wondering what it is going to be like and what side affects I will have. My doctor was not very clear what days to start the clomid on and I was wondering what days you guys started clomid. I was reading many differenct places that you can start it on day 3 and than I read that clomid can be started on day 5. Any suggestions? Thank you and congratulations to all who are pregnant and expecting.

Ashlee, I started on day 3 and am pregnant off of the first month. You can be really crampy around the time you are ovulationing. Also the mood swings are crazy. I really thought I would go insane. It was worth it though. After I found out I was pregnant all sadness and crazyness went away and was replaced with happiness. Tell your partner to bare with you it will be a roller coaster. Good luck. Please keep in touch throughout your experience. These ladies all are a huge help through the emotional strugle of tring to conceive.

Thank you Sara, I am going to start the clomid on day 3. From all the post it seems like day 3 has the highest amount of success rates. How many days after the last pill did you ovulate. The only problem with me taking clomid on the 3rd day is that my husband wont be home 5 days after the last pill. Do most people ovulate exactly 5 days after the last pill. He will be coming home on the 6th day. I hope thats not to late. I am a worry freak and my doctor being unavailable most of the time I dont really have anyone to turn to and answer most of my questions. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Ashlee, I have heard that you can ovulate later than normal. It all depends on your cycle. You should be fine to wait until day six. Tell your husband to be ready when he comes home. I ovulated later than normal, probually day 15. Good luck.

Thanks to everyone who has been praying and concerned. I got to hear the heartbeat yesterday with the doppler. It was around 150 bpm. It was awesome. My mom was wih me and she started crying. The doctor thinks all the pain is coming from stretching of my uterus combined with round ligament pain. Who knows? I go back next Wednesday just to make sure everything is still okay.

Name: Sara | Date: Jan 17th, 2006 8:58 AM
Talia, That is great. I heard that over 140 is a girl. I know it is an old wives tale but it is still fun. If that was the start of your pain start preparing yourself now. It gets really fun. You should start experiencing all the fun in June through your due date. OOOOH girl you scared me. I am glad everything is good.

Name: Nikki | Date: Jan 17th, 2006 12:24 PM
Hey Talia I'm so happy to hear everything is fine. You had scared there for a while. Yeah Sara I heard that too. The faster it is means it's a girl, the slower is a boy. My baby's heartbeat is pretty slow. How about your's sara? You know as many times as I go to that doctor he never tells me the baby heart beats per minute. I always forget to ask because he rushes me out of the room. I'm switching to a different doctor. I have an appt. to fill out the paperwork on the 24th. You wouldn't believe how stressful they make it when you're switching like this. It's horrible, but its worth it if I can get a better doctor.
