Hello everyone my name is Jennifer I am 28yrs old and I have an 11yr son. I have endometriosis and have not been ovulating for quite sometime so my Dr started me on Clomid. This is my first month and I am very nervous. I had a positive ovulation test on Sat Sept 30th.

Name: rachelle-s. | Date: Oct 9th, 2006 7:30 AM
Jenn, I took a pregnancy test 7 days after ovulation (which is 1-2 days after your positive test) and it didn't show up positive yet, but 10 days after ovulation, it did. Good Luck! Hope you're as lucky as I was.

Hey ya'll I posted in July and was beyond depressed, after being told that I was fine but my husband was almost sterile, and our only option was IVF. Which we knew we couldn't afford. But they had started me on clomid anyway, and I couldn't figure out why. But after reading all your posts I guess I got some hope back. Well after not feeling so hot for a few days my neighbor told my to take a PG test I laughed and told her she was crazy. But I guess she put the bug in my head so I bought one...and can you believe it. It came back positive...so did the next 2...I go to the doctors on the 16th. I am so Happy!!! And I am so happy for everyone else who is having babies. And to everyone who is still trying...I blowing some PG dust your way...GOOD LUCK!!

I went to the lab to have an ultrasound yesterday. They had to do it ultravaginally because all you could see was the sac through my tummy. It looked like a peanut. I got to hear the heartbeat though. It was 120bpm. Does anyone know if you can tell the gender by that? I've heard a boy has a faster heart rate....but also that it's a myth. Anyways, I'm 6 weeks today, according to the lady doing the scan....so I have a LONG way to go.

rachelle - the old wives tale is less than 140, it's a boy, over 140, it's a girl. Of course, they say there's no truth to it, except . . . if it is consistently that way, your chances of it being right are about 5%. But, I know many people who still believe it and right - so who knows!

Hey guys. Here is my input on gender prediction. I also heard that under 140 bpm is boy. My first child was always under 140 bpm and was in fact a boy. My second child was 160 bpm and then dropped later in the pregnancy to 135 bpm and also is a BOY. So quite possible you have a boy. By the way congratulations!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your pregnancy it goes by so fast! Sara

Thanks for all the answers. I pray it's a boy. I know I shouldn't care which that I get since it is a blessing I'm pregnant in the 1st place. But, It would be the 1st boy in my side of the family, and that would be so neat to me. How far alond do you have to be to see the gender thru an ultrasound?

Technically, I think it's possible at around 14 weeks, but not probable - usually they're stinkers and you end up trying to figure it out until 20 weeks or so.

Rachelle-Thanks for the hope and good luck with getting a boy. You should look at the chinese gender prediction test, it's goofy but it is usually accurate. As for me it's day 26 of my cycle I tested yesterday and it was negative, I am still holding out because when I was pregnant with my son it took till I was six weeks to show up.

Well it's cd 31 for me and still no period. I have some slight cramping in my back and in the front occasionally but it doesn't last long. No spotting so far. And I know I definitley ovulated because my progesterone level was 18 on cd21. So hopefully I am pregnant!

Hello everyone,
I have a few questions. Ok here is my history. In Dec 05 I was diagnosed with PCOS and I actually was on clomid before but I stopped because I was discouraged. I am now looking to start again and today I took progesterone so that I am able to induce a menses. The last time that I was on clomid I ovulated 5 days after my last pill. What is the normal for ovulating....after how many days from the last pill? Also is there anyone that is underweight with PCOS. I have read that most people are overweight. I am 110lbs. I need some suggestions. I am lost and I need help.

Name: rachelle-s. | Date: Oct 16th, 2006 9:00 AM
Lolashaw- I also was diagnosed with PCOS, but since I'm only 105, they're not 100% sure I have it because I also don't have excess hair growth...so they thought just endometriosis. I've went to so many docs for opinions, and none are completely sure. The clomiphene for me made me ovulate 8 days after the last pill, but I accidentally took the pills on cd's 6-11 instead of 5-10. Good luck trying again.

Hello everyone well today I tested positive on my hpt. I can't believe it. I am 4w and 2d. I didn't think it would show up this early but I am thrilled regardless. I will keep you posted on my progress good luck to everyone.

Hey everyone, just keeping ya updated. I'm 7 weeks pregnant today, and still haven't had morning sickness. I think I might but it's just really mild nausea if I haven't eaten in a few hours. But I do get dizzy and am more tired now. My 10 hour days at work go by so slow now, even when I'm busy. I've gained 2 1/2 lbs, but have a bulge...it's weird. Why do people say their boobs hurt so bad you can't have water hit them?? Mine are barely tender.

Hi everyone! Cogratulations on the postive hpt that I missed. CD 7 for me.

Name: Abaldwin | Date: Oct 17th, 2006 5:37 PM
Rachelle-s.....Give the sickness and breast tenderness a couple more days. I started having these symptoms about 7-7 1/2 weeks. I get really nauseaus when I don't eat every 2-3 hours. I have cut my meals in half and eat about 5-6 little meals a day and that seems to help me a lot. My breasts are so tender, but the Dr. says that should start dying down after my first trimester. I tell you what though, I hope I am not sick through this whole pregnancy, although I do absolutely just love being pregnant. I am 8 weeks and 4 days today and loving it even though the side effects. Its so cool because my best friend just finished her first trimester...so we have planned to go shopping together. It's always fun having someone else pregnant with you. Well I wish everyone the best!!!! =)

Rachelle-my boobs aren't tender either, my friend at work is 4 weeks farther along than I am and she said her boobs starting hurting when her period was due. I have been battling a sore throat for three days and my back is killing me so I have been taking alot of baths. It's all so worth it though I just grin and bare it. Thanks Sesopko...Good luck Allison!

Jen, My boobs did hurt for a few weeks there and wouldn't let me sleep some days, but never constant, but now they barely hurt at all. I am waiting for the sickness to arive, cause I couldn't be so lucky. If your sore throat lasts more than a week, ask your ob/gyn to prescribe you something. I had one at 1st and he didn't wanna wait to make sure it wasn't step, so he treated it, just in case. By the way, my doc laughed when I asked if it was a boy cuz of the heartbeat. He told me he'd be 5'10, 180 lbs. and have an IQ of 140. What a smart ass!!!

Name: sesopko | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 10:25 AM
My doc said something similar. LOL. It is still fun to guess. As far as a sore thought with both of my preg. i got a really bad sore thoat. I think the doc put me on z-pack. It is pretty safe to take when you are preg. Who know about the boobs hurting. I was told that morning sickness and hurting boobs and alot of other pregnancy pleasures are caused by extra hormones. Some women have more than others. Hope this helps a little. Sara

Yeah my doc gave me an antibiotic called Ery-Tab that made me really sick, but was safe for pregnancy, but I stopped taking it and then he gave me the z-pack which worked well & gave me no side effects..

So I got my first hcg hormone level back today and it was 425 so I was really excited because I am only 4w 5d I go again tomorrow to see if it's doubled and then I get my ultrasound next week.

Name: Jenn9178 | Date: Oct 23rd, 2006 10:08 AM
Hi everyone, well I got my second Hcg level back and it was 915 so I go for an ultrasound Thursday. I am a little worried because last night and two nights prior I woke up with sharp stabbing pains in my lower abdomen that eventually subsided. I have no spotting. And I don't have cramps hardly at all. My nurse thinks it's probably a cyst. I hope so!

Hi I am 22 and my husband and we have be ttc for about a year and a half. I have been on progesterone to help me get my period. I have also had an us to check for endometriosis. The results came back negative, but my husband hasn't been checked for infertility. All of my husbands family continously makes me feel like less of a woman because we haven't been able to concieve. My doctor has suggested in about three months to start clomid. My question is, does anyone know the average amount of time for pregnancy to occur, or the cost of clomid. I am new to all of this and I would just love to have a support system other than my husband. thanks!

Name: Jenn9178 | Date: Oct 24th, 2006 6:55 AM
Amayharv-Clomid is fairly inexpensive with insurance. It only cost me $10. The average is about two to three cycles on Clomid to get pregnant. The doctor usually doesn't suggest using it more than six months. I have endometriosis and I got pregnant on Clomid my first month. Good Luck to you!

Name: rachelle-s. | Date: Oct 24th, 2006 7:26 AM
amayharv- If your insurance doesn't cover the medication, it's $5 per pill. You can buy 5 at a time, instead of all of them together too, because if you're like me and Jenn, you'll only need 5 ; ) I have possible PCOS and endometriosis, and my husband's count was average & it still worked on the 1st month. But, I took body basal temp, then ovulation kits, and had sex every other day, except for the 72 hours after my ov. kit showed positive, then my doc said everyday was okay. You can also try taking robitussin to thin out the cervical mucus during the time you are ovulating. It helps with conception...Now after 9 months of trying, and one month of Clomiphene, we have one on the way. Good luck with it.

Hello everyone. I have another questions regarding progesterone. I got my period today after being on progesterone and it is not regular. It is very light but I have really bad cramps. Is progesterone supposed to make you have a "regular" cycle or is it just used to make you bleed. I am tyring to get this information because I need to schedule the fifth day of my period. If this cycle is ok than I will start clomid on Saturday and hope for success. Thank you all

Name: Jenn9178 | Date: Oct 24th, 2006 10:11 PM
Lolashaw-I don't know about progesterone but my first month that I had to start Clomid my period was very light but I still had the cramps and it was shorter too but I still started the Clomid on day 3.
