Hello everyone! Congratulations to Hoping. Just wanted to see how everyone is in their cycle. Im am now on CD24. Getting pretty close to testing, right! Today and yesterday i started feeling sore bb's. I cant get excited with that though, because that usually happens before my period anyway. Hopefully, that wont be the case this time. Babydust to all**********

NELLY, it's exciting that your getting close to testing. I tested my 25cd and got a very light line and then retested my 27 day and got a more definite postive.. Which is the day I usually get my cycle. How long is your cycle usually? Hopefully you'll receives great new just in time for Christmas. Baby dust to all.

Hi there. I am new to this site. Thank goodness I found you all. I was beginning to feel like I was the only woman in this predicament. After one year of trying without assistance, my Dr. prescribed clomid. First month, no luck. I finished my 2nd cycle last week and I am on pins and needles now. The OPK still hasn't registered an LH surge and I am on day 16. Last month I didn't ovulate until day 19. I will be 32 years old in two weeks. I am beginning to feel like our hopes for having children are never going to come true. Looking forward to reading all of your posts. It is very encouraging.

welcome mspooh! we're glad to have you and look forward to sharing our ups and downs with you! i too am in the same boat as you. we are blessed with one child, but have been trying for a year. we finally went to get help, was on clomid for 1month at 50mg, and 2nd month 100mg. i am on day 21, and have never seen a +opk! its really hard to wait patiently to take a test!!!!! i will be testing xmas morning...i am supposed to get AF that day! glad to have you!

Name: mspooh | Date: Dec 19th, 2006 5:24 PM
utopia8302: you are brave to test on Christmas morning. A negative would definitely alter my mood for the day. I was really hopeful that I could tell my husband we were expecting on Christmas morning. But I am not expecting AF until a few days after Christmas. I noticed a lot of woman saying they took a pregnancy test even before they missed a period. Are those even accurate?

Name: utopia8302 | Date: Dec 19th, 2006 8:11 PM
mspooh: yes, you can test before your missed period. if its just a few days before it, SOME tests can be accurate. if you ever get a +, its always a +. there are no false +, but there are false - if that makes sense! i am not too hopeful for this month anyways. i just dont feel that i really ovulated. so seeing a - on xmas morning really wouldnt put me in a bad mood. of course id be disappointed, but i do have my one daughter, and can always try next month! so hang in there everyone!

MSPOOH, Welcome you have definitely come to the right place for support, understanding and a great place to chat. All the ladies her are TERRIFIC!! It makes going through the whole experiences a lot easier and funner to do with people just like you. I hope you get a +OPK. I tested three days before by cycle was due and it gave me a very very light +. Then I tested the day I was due and it was a lot more Clear. Baby dust to ALL!!!

Hi ladies. Just wanted to check in. I'm on CD24 and started taking my prochieve (progesterone cream prescribed by Dr. for lining) on Monday. I hate it. So, I'm in the middle of the 2 week wait. HOPINGFORABLESSING: thanks so much for the info. How are you feeling? ANGELICA21: So sorry to hear about your loss. Clomid is a serious medication. It is not safe nor legal to take this without your dr.'s monitoring (at least in the states). It is also not meant to be taken just b/c you want twins...the chances of twins are still very low even with clomid. You might want to talk to your dr. NELLYD: I will be testing on 12/30 since I ovulated so late...let us know how yours turns out! What day will you test? MSPOOH: Welcome. I feel your pain with the late ovulation. Just hang in there and stay positive. It's going to happen for you!

hi everyone. I started my first round of clomid on November 29th and just found out yesterday that I am actually finally ovulating. I need to hear from someone that this medicine can work. I have become a little discouraged because I keep hearing of people miscarrying. I ahve been trying to concieve for a total of 8 years and I am so ready to become a mother. Please someone out there help me feel something positive.

hi all! Welcome Jules! Im going to test on Christmas (maybe the day after, i dont know). Whats funny is im getting all the PMS symptoms so i know somethings coming, whether it be AF or a BFP. Im also starting to have cramps which is odd because i dont normally start cramping until the very same day AF is coming. So hopefully AF wont show her face today or any other day for that matter. keep your fingers crossed for me! And Baby dust to all of you******

Name: Jules78 | Date: Dec 20th, 2006 2:53 PM
Hi Nelly thanks for replying and I hope your test turns out well on Christmas, that would be the best Christmas present of all. I think I am going to test this Friday the 22nd which is 5 days before I should start but I will get a early pregnancy test. I don;t want to sound stupid but what does AF and BFP mean? Also you were talking about having PMS symptoms, I tell you something is different this month and I am not sure if it is the medicine or because I ovulated but I have been in the worst mood over nothing. My poor husband does not know what to think, also I have been extremely tired, extremely hungry and major heartburn at night. I am hoping these things mean I am pregnant but I do not want to get my hopes up. Good luck to everyone! :)

Hello everyone, I have not been on for a while but that is because I was in the middle of moving. So I am back and I still have not had a + pregnancy test. I am on my second round of clomid and I am expecting AF this Friday. I think that I will get it simply because I am having some symptoms already. My boobs hurts so bad and I have slight cramps.. Hopefully I will not get it but something in my head says that I will. I went to the DR yesterday and they are going to refer me out to a specialist. I was told that there is a posiibility that we will be looking at IVF. I have PCOS. Has anyone ever heard od someone with PCOS doing IVF? I am a bit scared that it will come to that simply because my insurance does not cover it and my husband and I will be forced to pay for it on our own. Does anyone know if people with PCOS usuallly succeed with clomid? I am feeling really down and discouraged at this point. I want a child so bad and although I am happy to hear that people are getting pregnant from clomid I also feel down when I hear it because I wish that it was me. Also....does anyone know how long a fertility work up is? I want to know so that just in case me and my husband are forced to do the IVF I would like to know how long we are going to be looking at. I will go back to the DR on the 28th of Dec. to get a referral. I can not wait. I want everyone to have a merry christmas and happy new year and I will give the update when I have some more news. Good luck with baby making to all.

welcome jules & lola
nelly- i also am going to be brave and test on xmas morning. i just keep thinking how wonderful it would be to wrap it up and give it to my husband and videotape it! but, i really dont think it happened this month. i havent had a +opk, and we only bd days 9-17. we missed out on 18-21 due to me being sick as a dog in bed. so, i dont have high hopes for this month! but will still test anyway. so you have to let me know how your test turns out!!!!!! good luck everyone

Welcome Welcome Welcome. JULES, and LOLASHAW. It's a wonderful place to come chat. Jules, this was my first month taking clomid and it worked for me. PREGNANT! However I have two older children and never before had any problem conceiving. My reasoning for Clomid was becausing I wasn't ovulating. I am sure it's different for everyone but it seems as though there quite a few women that it's really helped. Ovulating is the first good sign.I hope that it WORKS FOR YOU!!!!. LOLASHAW I was on google the other night and came across PCOS info. It caught my eye because my thyroid doc that I might have it. There was one other med that I heard some doc like to use over clomid because the risk of cysts problems could be less. The best thing would be to just google a bunch of searches if you haven't already. Hopefully your symptoms are pregnancy instead of A.F. Do your boobs normally hurt really bad when get A..F? Thats how I knew I was Pregnant. It hurt to wear clothes, bra or sleep. MICHELLE-So you are going to test on the 30th? Can't wait to hear the NEWS!!! UTOPIA, NELLY and If I miss anyone I hope you both get a BFP on CHRISTMAS!!!! Thanks so much ladies for all th updates you all WONDERFUL!!! tanya

Welcome Jules! AF means Aunt Flow, and I still can't figure out the bfp, and i've written in here for like 3 months! I must be a ditz. Lolashaw, I have been diagnosed with PCOS and It worked on me the 1st month. It will just take time for some people. My doc said it could take up to 6 months, you just keep upping the mg of clomid each month till you get a positve ovulation reading. It'll happen! I know that doesn't help. I tried for so long and each time I got AF I would cry and cry, but that's just the way it goes. Update: I went to the doctor and he seems to think that the twin that didn't make it will absorb back into my body?!?! Has anyone ever heard of a vanishing twin? I've done some research and usually it's absorbed by now. It passed away over 9 weeks ago. If it does absorb, it's like I'm my babies burial ground. I'm so scared it could do something to my baby girl. The worrying never stops does it??

Name: Jules78 | Date: Dec 21st, 2006 8:41 AM
rachelle-s thank you for helping me with the terms used on here. :) I have heard of a baby absorbing back into your body. I was talking to a lady the other day about clomid and she said she was on clomid and got pregnant with twins and that happened to one of her babies but the other one came out healthly and beautiful, so don't stress to much and enjoy being pregnant with your little girl. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas. :)

BFP* BIG* FAT* POSITIVE*!!!! I had no idea what half the lingo was so my husband and I googled it all and found a list explaining most of it. This was the other confusing one to me. BD- baby dancing or bed dancing DH-Darling husband. CD-cycle day P-past O-ovulation. Well I hope this helps out, Jules my husband had to tell me what A.F. was.(how sad huh?). RACHELLE- sorry that you had to go through that. I read on one of the other posts that 1-8 pregnancies starts with twin but only 1-80 delivery twins. They said that it's the vanishing twin syndrome. I don't know if these numbers are accurate, but it sure makes you think. It makes me a little nervous to have an early U/S I just keep telling myself what suppose to happen will. When I was reading about it I also noticed that it was early on in the pregnancy not as far as you. Everything seemed to mention that they other baby isn't affected by it and they develop and come out fine. Well EVERYONE off to a road trip. I can't wait to see what the new year bring for surprises. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS and thoses testing get a BFP. TANYA

OK ladies...I need your opinions. Last night my husband and I had sex and afterwards, I noticed that I had some blood...it was light pinkish/brownish. I am 5 days past ovulation. Do you think it is too early for me to have implantation bleeding? I'm just wondering if that's what it might be? Or, maybe something just got irritated and started to bleed? Wishful hoping, I guess. How are all of you?

Name: NellyD | Date: Dec 22nd, 2006 11:57 AM
Michelle: From what i was told implantation could be anywhere from 6-12 days after ovulation. Did the bleeding begin right after you had intercourse or a while after? are you still bleeding? Anything is possible, so dont give up hope.

Hello ladies- How has everyone been? I haven't logged in lately due to extreme stressful holiday preparations. My husband's ex-wife's mother is coming to live with us for a few months. I don't think I need to say anything more :-) hopingforablessing: Wow, congratulations!!! that was super quick. MicheleB: that doesn't sound like implantation but that doesn't mean anything. You might still be. The 2ww is really tedious but also very exciting :-) Tomorrow I go for either an IUI or an HCG shot. I was supposed to pee on sticks to find out if I ovulated today but i think I'm doing something wrong. I hope they can tell tomorrow whether or not I've ovulated. My husband is coming with me and plans to stay in the room when it's done. A bit akward I think, but I guess he should be there. Anyone else done the IUI? Happy Holidays to all!!

Name: Corona | Date: Dec 22nd, 2006 2:20 PM
Good luck Antswife with your IUI. We did it last year & now have beautiful 6 month old twins! A boy & a girl! We actually did it at 2 different clinics. The first few times was unsuccessful, but the last time in a new clinic, we got lucky! That time my hubby actually "pushed the plunger", so to speak. Nothing is as ackward as your partner seeing your cervix! Really, some things should be just left sight unseen. I kind of thought that would be the end of our love life! LOL!!

Name: AntsWife | Date: Dec 22nd, 2006 2:53 PM
Corona: thanks for responding. How many times did you try before it worked? I don't think I'd want my husband to do it. It's akward enough that he'll be in the room. On the other hand I guess it's a little akward for someone else to be distributing the sperm so it's pretty much a no-win. Thanks for the encouragement though. Do you know if they can tell tomorrow whether I ovulated or not?

BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!+++++++++++++++++++
O-n- Christmas Morning!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats to you nelly!! this was by far the best xmas ever!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks to everyone for all of your support. all of your support has helped me through this tough time!

Name: CourtneyD | Date: Dec 26th, 2006 12:12 PM
Hello ladies! I am new to this site. I have been looking for some type of support. It's hard to feel like you're alone. My husband and I have been trying for almost a year now and no luck. I have always been irregular, had surgery in 1999 for endometriosis, was on Depo for about 4 years, recently found out I have a partially blocked tube (which the RE I saw states is impossible b/c its either blocked or its not), and apparently I have PCOS and had it back in '99. I am starting my first roun of Clomid on CD3-7 which will be after the st of the year. I am on continuous Prometrium to regulate me. It is the only thing so far that has worked. I was on Glucophage and that didn't work (my body rejected it) and then Avandia which my OB/Gyn does not feel safe me taking on Clomid. I have been so depressed lately and Christmas was really hard. We REALLY want a baby. Everyone says to not stress about it, and even when I think I'm not, how can I now??? Every time I go to the doc I feel its bad news. I have not ovulated in the past year (although I haven't really tested much lately seeing it's always neg) at all so my doc wants to start me at 100 mg. Has anyone ever heard of starting at 100 instead of 50mg? Also, does anyone else have trouble with the lines on the OPK? Last month it seemed like they were the same every day and my husband agreed. I know that's not possible. Also, a few months ago I actually got a pregnancy test that said pos, got excited, went straight to the doc, and the bw said neg. Talk about depressed. I have had weird stuff happen to me for sure. Thanks for all of the encouraging stories. And Congrats to all who got a pos and good luck to the rest.

Name: michelleB | Date: Dec 27th, 2006 11:00 AM
Utopia and Nelly D: OMG!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!! How many days past ovulation did it show up as positive?!?! I am currently 11dpo, and was planning on waiting until 14dpo. Antswife: sounds like you have a lot going on with you. I'm glad to hear that you are going to be doing the IUI...I hear it is very effective and I'm very interested to hear how it all goes. Please keep us updated!

Name: NellyD | Date: Dec 27th, 2006 11:34 AM
Hi everyone! Congrats to Utopia! looks like we will we be pretty close in due dates, huh? :) Michelle: How are you? On Christmas day I was actually 15dpo, because i was actually due on the 24th, but i just wanted to wait for christmas. Im pretty sure i could have tested before then because the line was really, really dark. I was pretty sure I was, because my bb's became reaaally sore. Way past what i feel when im getting AF. So that was a sign for me..oh yeah and the gas (sorry tmi) Michelle good luck and keep us updated...Courtney: my doctor put me on 100mg for the first time instead of 50mg. I wasnt ovulating at all either so she said she think a higher dosage would do better for me. And it did!

Name: utopia8302 | Date: Dec 27th, 2006 12:24 PM
nelly, congrats!!!!!!!!! i think my due date is sept 4, according to an online calendar! it was really a big surprise to me this month because i was taking opks 2x a day! and they were ALL NEG. but on cd17, i felt like i was ovulating. my first +was on xmas morning, so IF i ovulated on the 17th, it was only 8dpo!!!!!! so hang in there girls!

Name: michelleB | Date: Dec 27th, 2006 3:18 PM
OK, guys. So, I decided to do a preg test for the heck of it this afternoon and there was a faint line...not just when you move it a certain way...it was definately there. I really am not believing that it could be true, so I'm not going to get too excited yet. I'm going to get a digital test today and take it tomorrow morning with my first morning urine. I will let you guys know how it turns out. I'm only 11dpo, so I'm nervous there was some mistake for it to show so early. Is it really true that no matter how faint it is, if it's there, it means it's positive??

Name: rachelle-s. | Date: Dec 27th, 2006 3:53 PM
Wow...alot of BFP's for the last week of 2006! And just to think...all of these are in the 1st two months of using Clomid. It's so exciting getting that positive test, Congratulations Nelly, Utopia and Michelle!! You guys aren't far behind me. I'm 17weeks now and am really feeling the baby. Make sure when they do an ultrasound that they are certain there's only one baby in there! I hope your pregnancies are 100% healthy. My hubby and I can't wait for our little Mikayla to get here. How old are you guys, and how long have you been married, and where are you from?? I'm 23, and in April will be 2 years, and I live in Missouri, USA. So many people on this forum are from other countries.
