Hello girls, finally its BFP!!!!!! I had my blood test also and HCG count is about 2500 which is supposed to be good one :-) I Ovulated with 100 mg of clomid. Previously with 50 mg of clomid there was no signs of ovulation. My DOC has suggested bed rest for 2 weeks after that I should have U/S. So I have taken off from work, I am getting bored sitting at home, still I am very happy. I got pregnant after 10 months of trying and I was diagnosed for PCOS in october and on treatment for it from then. filledwithfaith-- upto my knowledge, before and during ovulation LH level should be low and FSH level should be high. Usually you will ovulate 7-8 days after a course of clomid. even I had faced this problem, I did not ovulate with clomid, I waited till 24th day. later for the next dose I was given 100 mg of clomid with metformin 100 mg three times a day. My ovaries finally responded to this!!!!!!! Some people do feel the pain during ovulation, but I dont have anything like this personally. hope this helps. All the best!!!!!!!!!

I have completed my first round of Clomid 100mg days 3-7 of my cycle. The ovulation predictor test went positive yesterday and my husband and I have been going at it for the last 3 days. Yesterday I started having some lowe left abdomen, pelvic pain and it has gotten a little worse today and during sex this am. Can anyone tell me what this could be?

Hey ladies, congrats to all of you that had positive results. Can anyone tell me if you don't get pregnant on 50mg. of clomid, how soon does your doctor move up to 100mg. What is the maxmg. they will put you on before they decide you need to go another route? Thanks and babydust to all!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Name: mmys | Date: Feb 14th, 2007 3:15 AM
amayharv ~~~ You can be on treatment for clomid for maximum of 6 months. first two months 50mg clomid is given if there is no response for this 100mg clomid is given for next two months, next 150 mg clomid is given for last two months. 150mg is maximum. Clomid should not be taken for more than 6 months as it increases the risk of ovarian cysts in future.Usually with clomid follicle study is very helpfull as we can detect whether the ovaries are responding to the treatment. Babydust to you.........Cheers!!!!!!!!

Hey Paul 1..im also on clomid and i experienced that horrid pain...i was soo worried about having sex at that time that i started callin practically any girl that i new..i called my mom and then my best friend..my mom told me that she had never gotten that pain before, and my best friend well, she said that she got those pains when she was pregnant ( i was so excided) i was like "well maybe im already pregnant". But then i called my gyno (just to be on the safe side). My gyno said that sometimes when you are ovulating you'll get these pains..and that they are completely normal...BUT KEEP ON HAVING INTERCOURSE!! (if you want to get pregnant) she said its critical for you to have sex during this time since of course you are ovulating. So...keep up the good work grlfriend..and remember that there's someone out there that had the same pains as you...but hey...to get pregnant...ITS ALL WORTH IT!! take care! x0x0....

Hi Ladies. That pain is ovulating...I had fairly painful ovulation on both of my clomid cycles. Antswife: Good to see you back on clomid! I've been ok. Actually, after I had my D&C (1/31), 4 days later I started having lots of bleeding and severe cramps. Went in for an ultrasound and turns out that they didn't get it all, so I had to get another D&C exactly a week after the first one. Not fun. We are going to stop thinking about getting pregnant for a while b/c we are taking a big trip in April and we want to wait until after that to get preggo. So, I will probably pop back on clomid in April or May. I will still periodically check the site to check on you ladies!! Good luck to all of you!! Clomid definately works!!

Hi girls,I have a questions for u guys. I finished taking clomid on the 14th, but I have not had any side effects or any pain, is this ok? I hear all of you having pains or side effects I'm wondering if its working at all?

Name: paul1 | Date: Feb 19th, 2007 9:45 PM
Well I had hot flashes as soon as I started taking Clomid and was very tired, but I didn't have any mood swings. When I started to ovulate that's when I begin to have lower pelvic pain that seemed to go away after ovlation predictor test read that I was not ovulating any longer. I hope this helps you.

HI! This is my first time on here! I am 28 years old and ttc with baby #2. We have been trying for 10 months now. However periods were irregular. Doctor put me on medication to start period and then did blood tests and I was not ovulating on my own. So now I am on 50 mg of clomid. I took clomid on days 4-8. I am now on day 16. Days 14,15, and 16 I have had period like cramps that just don't go away. After reading on here I see that these could mean I am ovulating. Of coarse we have been having sex every other day since day 6 like doctor recommended. I have had a few headaches as well, and some random few minutes of nausea, but it does not last long. No other symptoms besides that. I am trying to stay positive since I know that I can get pregnant since I did before. Also happy that I have my son (almost 4). Really getting anxious to grow our family though, and starting to wonder if this will ever work. I wish everyone on here well and hope that everyone has success at concieving and delivering healthy babies. Is there anyone else on here who has had or is having a hard time getting pregnant the second time around. I have been on birth control a total of 9-10 years out of the last 12 years. I'm kind of getting worried that they have made it hard for me to get pregnant now. Has anyone else had a similiar experience?

Well looks like I wasn't successful on Clomid this month. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I'm not due to have my cycle until Monday, but I figured the test is probably accurate. I really thought that this would work this month. Maybe we need to get my husband a sperm analysis. Has anyone already had this done?

I have started my second round of Clomid. I am on cd10. I am hoping that I ovulate, I am leaving my faith in GOD. I know that everyone says OPK work really well, my OBGYN says that depending on the person the accuracy can be very different. I have decided that we will do it everyother day. I met a woman today that has just adopted a child, and she was telling me that certain things didn't work for them. I was trying to think positive, do you guys ever get the feeling that there's no hope for you? I have been very depressed about the baby making situation, and I can't seem to shake the blues. I have a great group of friends, but it just seems like everytime I get excited about possibly being pregnant, my hopes are shattered. Does anyone else feel this emptiness inside. I see all of these people that have children and don't want them and then here I am with no such luck. When I think about adoption, I think of the hard times there must be waiting for someone to pick you. What if you never get picked? I just can't tell you how hard it is to imagine my life without children. I work for a public school and I see kids constantly that have parents that would rather do drugs than take care of their children, and here I am with all of this love, and I can't seem to get pregnant. It doesn't seem fair, but I guess life isn't fair. I am just needing to vent. I am sorry if this is discouraging talk, but I needed to let it out. Thank you all for listening. If there is anyone that can help me with my struggle, I guess I just need some encouraging words. Thanks~

I understand what you are saying. I feel the same way sometimes. I have also just started the second round of Clomid days 3-7. I just try to keep positive by believing that in "due time" God will bless my husband and I with the children we have been waiting for.

I also had early pregnancy symptonms, and still have them. I am 27 also and I am a little over 7 weeks pregnant with twins. I had the tender breasts, tiredness and oh yes...nausea... But ya gotta love the signs, because that means that everything is going good. That is what my doc said. I also recall the pains in my abdom. and I was told it is the stretching muscles and your uterus, especially with 2 everything moves so much more quickly.

Hi Everyone
Well in the beginning of the year been thru alot in the past 3 months. was in the hospital my tubes and my pelvis was infected i was on clomid for 5 months with no success, So now my doctor has put me back on birth control pills because of irregular bleeding as well because i was so sick he won't put me back on clomid for 6 months so in august of 2007 i will be coming off of bc and back on clomid. I was devasted and hurt also crying for him. But instead im just going along with it all it wasnt meant to be for me yet so imjust going with te flow. hopefully i will have success the second time around im preparing my self mentally, physically and emotinally in my life and marriage before i bring a baby into our lives maybe when life is a bit calming for me it will happen. too much was going on for me to have a baby and i guess that why it wasnt happening. But im praying and trusting GOD did this all for a reason because something great is going to come out of it so im just going with GOD onthis one. praying to concieve this year if i won't give birth at least concieve this year so thats my story so theres no need for me to come back on this until im back on clomid or unless im pregnant again. so i wish every one the best and success in getting pregnant and please PRAY AND KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE IN GOD TRUST THAT HE WILLGIVE YOU WHAT YOU ASK OF HIM BUT YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENCE AND HOPE FOR THE BEST AND THINGS TO COME. i WISH YOU ALL THE BEST
GOD BLESS.

HI Amayharv, this is my first month on clomid and the last pill was 8 days ago. I know exactly how you feel. I had a miscarriage one year ago and we've been trying but nothing. I hope and pray I get good news this month. Please don't get discouraged I know how you feel. It;s like everywhere I look theres pregnant women everywhere. My sister has a 11 month old baby and wasn't even trying my sister in law is 4 months pregnant on her first try being on clomid. The doctor started me on 100 mg so I'm hoping this will be the month cause I noticed that I'm very emotional too. So think postive and I know its easier sad than done but just wait maybe this will be our year,.... :)

Well tomorrow i start my 2nd round of clomid, I'm very sad i thought it was going to work this month but nothing. I want to scream and cry, i know my hubby is also depressed, for over a year we been trying and nothing. We waited for 10 years to have a baby maybe that was to long.... Well lets see if this time it works, I just had to vent a little my friends don't understand and every time we get together theu ask me are u pregnant, and it just gets me so upset, but i still smile and say no. Thank you for who ever is reading this!

Hang in there ladies!! Clomid worked for me on the second month. I had a lot of luck with the OPK, so definately try to use those. Unfortunately, I miscarried at 9 weeks, but we will get back on Clomid in a couple of months and I have no doubt we will get pregnant again. This really works! Just relax...that's what I did the month I got pregnant. I think when you get too worked up about it, it has a negative effect on your body.

Hi Stacy, I was wondering when on the clomid did you also go through insemination or did you just take it along with regular intercourse. Starting Clomid this month and just curious because my Dr. gave me the option and I wasn't for sure if it was neccessary. Twins!!!! How exciting I hope for the same :)

hey girls --- i have not been on here in a long while but I am having weird things happen to me. march was my 4th month on clomid. I started on Feb 26th and have been very regular with my cycles starting on the 26-28th of each month, well here it is March 30th and still no period and no sign of it. By my caclulation I am now 5 days late and I have taken 2 test but have been BFN! I know for sure that I did ovulate because I had a 21 day progestrine test done. Has this happened to anyone else? It is really hard not to get your hopes up but I have been reading that my period could still come at anytime. Please help!!! :)

Name: michelleB | Date: Apr 3rd, 2007 4:59 PM
Jules: You very well might be pregnant, but remember that February is the shortest month of the year, so you can't bank on always starting on the 26-28th each month(especially since you had 2-3 days less than normal in Feb). What I would do is count days from the start of your period to the start of the next for the last 3-4 cycles. Then average them out and count out days for this month. So, from the day you started your last period, count forward. Or, do you know the exact day you ovulated? If you are pregnant, it shoudl show up by 14 days after ovulation. When I was pregnant, it showed up 12dpo. Good luck!!!! Keep us updated! I will be back on clomid in May (I lost my first clomid baby in Jan). I hope more people will start posting again!

I'll post :D but I am planning on taking the conversation to a new thread (not yet started) on the General Pregnancy forum.. I plan to start Clomid around June 5th.. I am hoping for twins (to increase my chances of having a girl) but I'll be happy with just one. I have 2 boys already, ages 1 and 3..

Name: Jules78 | Date: Apr 4th, 2007 7:33 AM
michelleB-thanks for the reply. I actually started on Monday 4/2. I guess my system just was a little messed up and I am wondering now if I could possibly have PCOS. The more I read on it the more I think that could possibly be part of the problem. I go in next week for an HSG (?) test. That is where they will insert dye in my tubes to make sure they are working correctly. I start my fifth round of clomid today. I am really sorry about losing your baby I wish you better luck in May. I hope people will start posting again to, but I know when I got very discouraged I quit coming on here. But I am back and full of hope. :)

Hi Everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knew if clomid pregnancies had a higher incidence of miscarriage vs non-clomid pregnancies?

Name: michelleB | Date: Apr 6th, 2007 10:44 AM
Hi Rhonda: No, clomid does not increase your chances of miscarraige. As someone who took clomid and miscarried, it was a question I asked my dr. and she said definately not.

Name: ChrisNFran | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 10:51 PM
Sorry about that...anyways frequent urination. I just had a blood test today to see if I o'd, but I was just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms late in the cycle that were just due to clomid and not being pregnant. I get so excited everytime I fell I may be, that I don't want to get my hopes up. I'm going to wait until the 16th (cd30) to take a hpt, and hopefully we'll be pregnant. Thanks to anyone who has advice...and good luck to all!!

Name: ChrisNFran | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 10:58 PM
Sorry the first part of my comment didn't post. We've been trying for 1 1/2 to get pg, but i had irregular periods when I got off the pill. My doc said to wait a full year and then we'll start test. So at 1 year I started having blood tests done again, an HSG and 2 rounds of provera to start my period, and my hubby had a semen test done; all the tests came back fine, in fact my hubby is "rambo" in my docs words :) But stil not pregnancy. So on March 22 (cd5-9) i began my first round of clomid, now I'm on CD23 and have extreme breast tenderness, abdom. pain, and freq. urination....the rest is in the above post...sorry

Name: Jules78 | Date: Apr 10th, 2007 7:33 AM
ChrisNFran-I wish the best of luck to you. You very well could be pregnant with all the symptoms. I truly thought I was pregnant last month too because I had all those symptoms but actually my period was just a week late. But with you I hope it is a different story. I just finsihed my fifth round of clomid this month and go have an HSG test tomorrow. You said you have been through this test. DId it hurt? I am very scared for one because it might hurt and I am a big wimp or that the doc will tell me I will never get pregnant. I am not sure how I will take that news. How old are you, if you don;t mind me asking? I am about to be 29 and have no children, I sometimes feel I am running out of time.

Name: ChrisNFran | Date: Apr 10th, 2007 10:36 AM
Jules78-Thanks...I don't want to get to excited, so I think it's good for me to here that it's sometimes normal on clomid to feel like this. I'm 24 and I had the HSG in February. I was very nervous before the test, and for me I found it a little painful. It's a lot of pressure and discomfort. My doc told me to take 4 advil 2 hours before the test to alieve some of the pain. I had cramping throughout the entire day, and then the next 2 days it was like I was on my period again, but my doc said that this was normal. This was just for me though, I have friends who thought the test was a breeze. It's great to get the results right away though. Good luck to you...you'll be in my prayers
