I've taken my first dose of clomid on Feb 5; it was for 5-9 days. I took a pregnancy test 1 1/2 weeks ago it was neg, but I think it was too early. My period is due on Mar. 2, and I feel bloated, gassy, fatigue, have heartburn, and breast soreness; especially the nipples. I was wondering if this is pregnancy, hormonal changes because of my upcoming menstrual cycle, or side affects of taking clomid. When is the best time to test again? Has anyone had similiar symptoms? ↑
Alicia P- I had the same symptoms before I got my period. I am taking Clomid to regulate my periods- I normally get my period 22-27 days after the first day of my last period. This time after I took Clomid for the first time I was exactly 28 days. I started feeling those symptoms about a week before I got my period. They are the same symptoms as early pregnancy- I was cramping, nauseous and my breasts were actually swollen. Everything went back to normal the day that I got my period. I really thought that I was pregnant. Because the symptoms are so similar, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you are. I just finished my second round of Clomid. The side effects were a lot worse and still are. I expected this because of what I read here on this website. I have had hot flashes and irritability. Clomid is a potent drug that affects all parts of your body, especially your hormones. But it is all worth it just to become a mom. Alicia, please let me know happens- best of luck. ↑
Well I tested today and it was neg. But I still have the same symptoms. I wonder if I tested to early, or maybe I'm not preg. Did anyone go through this? ↑
Melissa (Feb. 28, 2005)- I found out I was Pregnant of Valentine's Day but then miscarried a week later. I was also 5 1/2 weeks along. You said this happened to you. How long afterwards did you wait to try again and how long did it take for you to get pregenant again? I am worried that it took three years to get pregnant this last time and it might not happen again. I take 50 mg clomid. ↑
Has anyone ever experienced bleeding the day after the last clomid pill has been taken (which would be day 10 of cycle?) I just took my second round of clomid at 50mg, but strangely enough, I started to bleed every other day for 3 days. I saw my GYN today and he said everything looks ok. Any thoughts? ↑

Monique-You will most likely ovulate if you are going to between days 14-17 from the first day of your period. If you take the clomid days 3-7.They say to have sex every other day during this time it is best to have sex on the day you ovulate. So you might want to do the ovulation test sticks. ↑

Monique- If I understood you right you are on day 3 of clomid right now so you have 2 days left of clomid. You need to take the first day you started your period and count 14 days between 14-17 you should ovulate you need to have sex during this time. So if you started your period on Feb 28 you should ovulate around days Mar 13-16. This could over lap a few days in the begining or end but this is a pretty good rule of thumb. ↑

I am 30 and I had an HSG and blood tests - everything normal. My husband had a semen analysis - normal. We haven't been preventing for 4.5 years so that is why we went to get testing. Even though- I'm normal - my dr. prescribed clomid and ovidrel. After taking clomid- i had a sono and he said that clomid wasn't for me as it created a side effect of a thinning endometrial lining. he still instructed me to take the ovidrel injection to stimulate ovulation - I am unsure about doing this because I don't understand the point as the clomid didn't work. I am normal and ovulate on my own. Dilemma! ↑

I am 25 and have been on Clomid for the last 5 months. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and I am experiencing similar to you. I was pregnant in April 2004 and felt very different then I do now. I part miscarried at 5 weeks, but I have noticed that this time I am less tired and lethargic and I am having less back pain. I am getting some pains in my belly that feel similar to period pain 2-3 days before you start, but have been told that this is a normal feeling for some women.

chaves gurl it is most likely you are not pregnant if you period has been on 3 months straight after that. if still uncertain if your pregnant or not go to the doctors or take a preg test ↑
first month taking clomid today was my last day. Ive had other test done and everthing was fine.Im going to the dr on thursday to see if my tubes are blocked can anyone tell me if they went through the same thing and what is was like. thanks ↑
I took Clomid with my first baby (she turned 3 in Jan) and I just took it again and am in the process of ttc #2 now so we'll see if it will work for me this time. Fingers crossed. ↑
Monique- I also had my tubes checked I think they call it a dye test they put dye in to your fallopian tubes then do a ultrasound to see if anything is blocking your tubes it's painless. You'll be just fine. ↑
i have been trying to get preg. for 1 1/2 years. i have pcos and my dr. put me on clomid. i have taken one dose. today is day 28. i have not started my period yet however i am having pretty bad cramps as if i am on my period. i have had cramps on and off ever since i took the clomid. i am wondering how many more days i should wait to take a preg. test if i dont start my period. ↑
Monique, It's called a hysterosalpingogram (HSG for short) really a piece of cake, TOTALLY painless, one side effect is that there is an increased chance of getting pregnant the cycle after you have this done. This happens because even if nothing is "wrong" with your tubes they are flushed out during the test thus apparently making it easier for eggs and sperm to travel through. I'm 27 years old. We have been trying for 2 years. I had an HSG and my husband was tested. Results were normal. I've always been irregular. The doctor started me on clomid. This is my first cycle. We will know in 2 week if it worked. Wish me luck. ↑
I am going to bookmark this spot! That is for sure. I am on day two of clomid. I related to so many of you who are going through the same things that I am. I worries and the anticapations. I seeing how fragile life really is. It seems because it is something that I want so bad that it will not happen...... reading the posts helps so much! ↑
It's nice to hear that someone is going through the same as me. I too took clomid for 3 months, am 10 weeks pregnant now with twins, and also have stabbing pains in my abdomen, apparently this is normal as your stomach is growing faster as there is more than one! Have had 5 miscarriages so am scared too, but i am being positive which is the best thing to do. Had a normal birth with my son who is 6 now! ↑
Has anyone gotten pregnant from Clomid where they experienced NO early signs of pregnancy (i.e. sore boobs, stabbing pains in lower abdomen, morning sickness?) I think I may be pregnant for the second time on Clomid, but I don't have any of these signs, except constant urination. Please let me know, thanks!! ↑
