Dear Shemi and Ash, I am still reading your posts a few times a week! I go for the 12th week ultrasound tomorrow. Hard for me to give you advice on your situations, as mine was very different (problem on my husband side, not with my ovulation) but I know how you feel about the wait and about the disapointment. Don't feel like you are alone, and keep hope alive! ↑
Hi everyone.
I just got back from the doctor, and I have FOUR mature follicles this month. So he gave me the hCG trigger shot again, and told me to BD this weekend! The shot did not work last month, so lets hope for better this month, and that at least one egg will work! CgGirl, how was your ultrasound? I am glad you are still checking in. Shemi, I know you must be going crazy waiting! I hope it is a BFP!!! Don't forget to let us know! ktbugg, welcome, and it sounds like you are doing everything you can, so I don't know what else to tell you. Just remember that even if everything works right, and you time everything perfect, there is still only a 20 % chance of getting pregnant. I have to keep reminding myself that so that I wont get so disappointed if it does not work. Try not to be too stressed is what I hear. Good luck to you! ↑
Hi everyone. OK, so I am just reporting in. I got back from the doctor (AGAIN!!!) and we found that 2 of the 4 eggs had ovulated. So now we wait. He did remind me that even if everything is absolutely perfect, there is only a 1 in 4 chance of getting pregnant. And he went ahead and gave me another Clomid prescription if I start. He said I should try to just line like normal. HA! How do you do that? I will do my best. Shemi, are you going to test on the 3rd? ↑
Ash78: That is great! I am truly happy for you! At least, you know you have a real chance this month, compared to previous times. Even if it doesn't work, it's still a major improvement! After the IUI that succeeded for me, I was doing a lot of visualization, seeing in my head what I wanted to be happening in my body (fertilization, implentation, multiplications of the cells, etc). I'm sure it helped. Keep us posted, and remember: it CAN happen. ↑
Thank you for the encouragement, CgGirl. How was your 12 week ultrasound? I have also tried to picture what is happening. BUT, I also don't want to be SO disappointed if AF comes. It is a weird struggle in my head that I have with myself. Keep me updated as you progress on in your pregnancy. Are you going to find out the sex of the baby? ↑
Hai Ash and Shemika,i m new to this forum but i read the message from ur side for 2 hours,im taking 2 nd cycle clomid day 2 to 6,and today is 38 th day ,still no period, but i took hpt on 33rd day with -ve result,no pg symptoms and pain in legs,am i might be pg or my af is getting late???bcoz my ovulation day is 10th day,so its about 28 days completed after my ovulation ,is there a chance to get pg?????can u people guide me????but in my first cycle i had my af exactly on 30th day .still no pg symptoms.whats happening to me inside???my doc ask me take another hpt in this week and then wants to consult.ok.Gudluck to hav babydust to all people who are all waiting :-) :0) ↑
hello evry one. i am new here.. i still have to read alot on this forum. shemika i had a question. how much does clinic charge for blood test. i am not insured in anything. i dont know how much they cost. pls help me here any one who knows. thanx ↑
Ok. Well I'm not prego. I didn't even do the test this weekend, but did a blood test on monday and it was negative. AF came monday also. It started weird though on sunday with brown discharge. Anywho, did an ultrasound today just to make sure there were no cysts like my first round of clomid. Also going to do a semen analysis on DH. I prepped myself for it not happening this month so i'm not completely disappointed. I'm taking baby steps and am glad that I actually ovulated. Once we make sure hubby is ok, then its just up to luck. I pray alot about it and figure it will happen when it does. My biggest thing is to try to keep my hopes down so i'm not on this big emotional roller coaster and it is difficult to keep my hopes and my husbands hopes down, especially since PMS symptoms while on clomid are similar to those while pregnant (tender enlarged breasts, achy lower belly, headaches...). Good luck ASH on you wait. Hoping you get a BFP. Baby dust to all...Oh I'm not sure how much the blood tests costs...I have insurance. You may want to call a lab and ask. ↑
Oh, Shemi. I am so sorry to hear that.
But at least you are being positive about the fact that you ovulated! I am trying SO hard to be like you and not to get my hopes up, but I have to tell you it is just not working. I am trying to just focus on the fact I ov'd, butmy hopes are up, and I am so afraid that I will be so sad come Monday! I am REALLY glad that you made the comment about the temder breasts being an effect of Clomid, because I definitely have that. Now I know that I need to just tell myself it is probably the Clomid.
You will have to let us know what happens with the DH test. Also, it is good that the cysts have shrunken, so that you don't have to wait any longer to try again.
cutegirl, if you are only on day 10 after ovulation, I would say wait a few more days.
whtzup, I am with Shemi. I have no idea because I am also on insurance, and won't have to take a blood test unless I gat a positive home preg test. If you have a planned parenthood near you, I would go there. They have cheaper prices.
Good luck to all. Shemi, I am sending you baby dust!!! Maybe you will have awesome news to share at Christmas!!! ↑
Yikes! what a long post lol. Hey ladies come join us in the Clomid Success Stories New. There's already a group of us there talking and the post is much shorter so it won't take as long for it to load for you. Hope to see you there! =D ↑
Im sad to hear the news Shemi, good luck for u next month, and one more thing v need to give rest for the uterus (one month between each clomid cycle),bcoz if v give work load continuously, then it may get delay.I know that giving a pause, will lead lengthier to our pregnancy calender. Ash,thank u for ur advice, and i hope u tell me the good new in the next few days or in a week,i took hpt today that is 40th day of my cycle but -ve.i think my period is getting late, may be my af will aome in few days.also im going to consult my doc incase i would take a blood test.good luck to all :-) ↑
i would have to say that by nature, i am a confrontational person. i tend to be ruled by my feelings and when people are upset, i tend to be quick to defend. and then when i've made a mistake, i usually obsess about making it right and i like to work hard at it. without stepping on toes anymore of course lol. but it's true! this post takes so long to load for me lol. and i love to have a big group of ladies to talk to. the more people, the more support and that's just what we could use! ↑
Ash78: You know, in a way, you are allowed to have your hopes up this month, because you succeeded in ovulating. I know that you have been trying for a very long time, and you have to see this as a small victory. You will be disappointed, if you are not pregnant this month, no matter what you try to tell yourself. But perhaps you can try to see it as a progression: this month, you ovulated, and next time it will be even better. I tried to take it one step at a time and you should treat yourself everytime something works out, even if the ultimate goal is not achieved for now. For us, we "celebrated" after seeing the eggs at the u/s, and then, if my husband got good sperm results the the of the iui. After that, I was trying to do some visualization (although not always easy), and was trying to see the bfp as another step in this long process. It IS easier said than done, but you'll be able to do it. I know how frustrating it is not to be able to have control over what's happening. But the important thing is that now you have a real chance. It may not be this month, but perhaps next time... anyhow, you are in my thoughts!!! ↑
Cg Girl,
Your last post could not have come at a better time. Impatient me went ahead and took an HPT this AM. I was having my usual AF backache, and started to cramp in my tummy last night, so I figured she was coming.
I had a dream last night that I got two positive pregnancy tests, so when I woke up at 4 AM to pee, as I do every morning, I went ahead and took the test. Nope. I got a BFN. Even though I was pretty prepared for it, I was SAD! But I am already better this afternoon, and just waiting for AF to actually come to start the next cycle of Clomid and get the show on the road! So , THANK YOU! I will do what you say, and look at every little progression as a victory. I appreciate your advice very much.
I am actually about 12 DPO, which I know can be a bit early, but my temps have also started to drop by a tiny bit every day. That is ok.....I will be able to drink wine at Thanksgiving now, at least. HAHAH!!! ↑
I'm a new poster, but have been reading this site for a few weeks. I'm 28 and have been TTC for 10 months. I wasn't getting my period, and therefore wasn't ovulating. My infertility doc said I have PCO and started me on Metformin. Nothing happened. My mom told me that she needed Clomid to conceive all 3 of her pregnancies, and so at my next apt, I asked for Clomid. Now this cycle I have taken Clomid, and I actually ovulated!!! Alert the media!!! Basically I am now 15 dpo and having some symptoms. Back ache, mild abdo cramping, my breasts are huge and heavy but not tender and today I started feeling a bit nauseous. I am trying to wait until the end of the week to take a hpt cuz I have taken so many wondered if it would be positive in a few days, and retested and retested, so this time I want to wait as long as I can. My question is- I know some of these symptoms I am feeling could be side effects of Clomid, but can they last 24 days after finishing my Clomid treatment? Anyone experience these effects so long after finishing Clomid without being pg? I don't want to get my hopes up too much... Baby dust to all.... ↑
Aly0809 - I took clomid for a full six months and noticed signs like you are having but I was never pregnant. I hope you are a different story however and you are also on Met and that could be the help I was missing at that time. I hear Met and Clomid together can be very successful. I wish you luck and hope to see you next post saying you just got your BFP. Keep us informed. :) ↑
Ash78: I am sorry to hear that this month wasn't yours, but happy to know that I could help. One other thing you can tell yourself: you are lucky that you have a treatable condition. Our problem came from my husband's side and there was absolutely nothing we could do to improve things. So please celebrate this big step (achieving ovulation) and brace for the next round. All of what I wrote in my previous post took me a long time to acquire, and yes, there is always hope, even if you try not to. Let me know how it goes! ↑
CG Cirl,
AF came Sunday, so I started roiund 3 of LComid last night. I have a question for you....how long did you wait to have your DH's sperm tested? My doctor mentioned before that we may need to do that, and my DH is more than willing. Just curious, because if it is a problem with him AND me, I dont want to keep missing out. I know my doctor will only do the 6 cycles of Clomid at the most. Thanks for any advice on that. Aly0809, have you tested? Let is know! ↑
Haven't tested yet- waiting for Saturday. It is now 17 dpo and I'm feeling nauseous and really tired. Thanks Jules and Ash...
Ash- My DH got tested right at the beginning of the process. You should probably do it sooner rather than later, just to be sure. Like you said, you don't want to "waste" your cycles on Clomid if something else is wrong.
I'll keep you posted... ↑

Hello everyone, I have read this entire site over the last few days and have been praying for everyone. Both my husband and I have been tested and the tests all say we are fine. I started clomid this month and O on 11/7/07(CD18). I am now waiting! Please pray for me! I believe in the power of prayer. ↑

michelleb- how is your pregency going. I have read all of your posts and they give me hope. ↑
Ash78: I think it's vital that your husband gets tested too! We did it all right up front (him and me at the same time). There is no reason not to test him: it's painless, quick and cheap!!! ;-) Did he do blood work at all? Sometimes, men have a problem with their hormones too ( like testosterone). Anyhow, spermogram is certainly the easiest way and a good indicator that there is a problem or not. Try2conceive: please let us know how it goes. Aly0809: you've got us on your hook!!!!!! I hope you get your BFP this time. ↑
Hi All....newby here.....I have been told that clomid and Metformin can interfere with getting an accurate result on home ovulation tests. Has anyone else heard anything like this before....? ↑
Hello everyone. This is my first time posting < I want to share my story and get involved , But I dont know if u guys are still on this thread or not. I know someone started Clomid Success Stories new , But I dont see your names there. Please let me know where you guys are at or if u just havent posted and ur still on this one. thank you . ~Jena ↑
Hi Jena. Yes, I am still on here. I went yesterday to get my HCG shot. I had two mature follicles this month as opposed to 4 which I had last month. I had four with 100 mg Clomid, but the doctor did not want me to have so many follicles, so this month he took me to 75mg. He is happier that I only have 2, but I am a little concerned. Een last month with 4 mature follicles, only 2 dropped. Soooo, we will see on Friday if 1 or 2 dropped. I feel positive, though. Hopefully I will have good news at Christmas time. Please reply! ↑
Hi Jules. Right now I am just being monitored. We are not as far as IUI yet. The doctor just likes to make sure the eggs were released, and if not, he puts me on progesterone to shrink the follicles and start my next cycle. I have only had to do that one time though. Last time two came down. We will see.......
