Answer: I had clomid four years ago and then went onto daily injections where the risk of multiple bith was even higher but I had just one baby.I have four years later just started my first cycle of clomid again, don't worry I had a perfectly normal birth with my son at age 29 although he was only 6lb.  =

Answer: I was on my first month of clomid last month, may and felt really good. We have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 years this fall and decided we need help other than time taking its course. We are very hopeful that it would work very soon. it's great to hear that other people tried for a couple of months and are pregnant. goodluck to both of us. =

Answer: I am 21 and was also on Clomid for 2 months and I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I too have stabbing and dull pains in my abdomen. I think that is is just our abdomins stretching and making room for baby. As long as you are not having pain and bleeding then you should be fine. Good Luck! =

Answer: Hi, I am only guessing I'm 5 weeks pregnant. Had Period 12 April. Took clomid days 2-6. Cycle normally 43 days. Took test on day 43 and Neg. Took test again on day 47, 27/05/04 and very strong pos. Went to Doc for u/s but no sac. But HCG 1,298 and three days later 4,218. Scan Week later Gestasional Sac but no Yolk sac or baby. Going again on 22 June and Doc said I should see more. Maybe Heartbeat!I am so happy but miscarried at Holleween and I too am worried it will happen again. Pains like mentioned but no sickness just sore breasts and very tired. Can't wait for scan.Glad to know other's feel the same. =

Answer: I am 28 years old. I was on clomid for 7 months and finally became pregnant with clomid, pregnyl and an IUI. I am 18 weeks pregnant today with a girl :) I started having a lot of pain in my abdomen at around 5-6 weeks and it turned out to be cysts on my ovaries caused from over-stimulation, but they have now almost completely gone away on their own. Hope this helps. =

Answer: Fiona, congradualations!!! I have also been taking clomid (4 months total) and I just found out I am 51/2 weeks pregnant. I also have been having these abdominal pains you were describing. I asked my doctor and he said that they could be growing pains or Pains from your body adjusting to not having a menstral cycle (cramping as if your were having a cycle). I don't think you have anything to worry about unless you discover spotting or heavy (grayish) discharge. I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and congradulations again! =

Answer: Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant after 2 rounds of clomid, 4 days ago I started spotting and it hasn't stopped. I have no cramping and I still have all the symptoms. I am going for an ultrasound in 2 days. I am so scared, I have heard this is normal, but I am fearing the worst. Has anyone been in my position? =

Answer: I have also been on Clomid for 2 months, I am 6 weeks pregnant today after 2 years of trying! My Dr. told me there is a 15% chance of twins and a 5% chance of more. I am also experiencing stabing and dull pains and I have been told it is normal. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and had not one cramp or pain at all. I didn't know until old blood started. So don't worry yet. =

Answer: Amanda - I hope that everything is ok, I hate to say but i miscarried last September with exactly the same symptoms you are having, I started with very slight spotting, had an ultrasound and they said at that exact time there was a 6 week pregnancy. That night i started bleeding and it just got heavier from there. I never had any pain until a few days into the bleeding. Found out a few months ago i wasn't ovulating and went onto Clomid, I just had my 2nd cycle on it and am pleased to say i am just over 4 weeks pregnant. with my first 2 children i got sharp stabbing pains every now and again, mainly when i moved quickly or got up guickly, my OB said this is normal and nothing to worry about. Hope Everyones pregnancies go ok. Amanda i really hope everything is ok with your pregnancy and my prayers are with you.  =

Answer: Emma & Amanda, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I too miscarried last month. I was on clomid for 2 months but went on vacation and started while I was away so I missed the 3rd round. Wouldn't you know I got pregnant. Since I wasn't being monitored and my history a long time between cycles he couldn't pin point when I conceieved, The next month (July) I just found out I was pregnant again. They say that after a miscarriage you are more fertile. I am now wondering about my hcg levels. On 7/22 they were 211 and on 7/27 4925. If you figure the double every 48 hours it did way more than that. I'm wondering if its twins. Only one sac (identical). I am also an identical twin~ GOOD LUCK and get back on the horse =

Answer: Hello Fiona, Congratulations on your pregnancy. Everything you've explained as symptoms, (sore breasts, tiredness, weight gain, etc.) I had in the beginning of my pregnancy too. I was on my third cycle of Clomid on 100 mg when I finally got pregnant, but I was pregnant with triplets. I lost all three at around 7-9 weeks. The Dr. said it was because there were too many babies and the chromosomes didn't seperate properly, so they never would've grown. The chance of this occuring is less than 1% so I wouldn't assume that it is happening to you. I just want to let other women know that having more babies in one birth is not a good thing. If I had been pregnant with a single baby I would have had a healthy pregnancy and would be 6 months pregnant now. But don't worry about period like cramping or minor pain in the uterus area, that's normal. If there is bleeding or extreme pain then see your Dr.  =

Answer: Hi all, I last wrote on the 16/06/04, at 5 wks preg. When I went for scan after that I was about 7wks or more. Doc said my preg was not going to continue. I had no bleeding or heavy cramping. I was just gutted. The sac had srank from my previous scan and the fetal pole he had seen was reabsorbed in his words. I have my bad and good days since. I still want to be a mummy but that's my second miscarriage and it's heart breaking each time. I had a D&C cause there was no sign of it happening itself and they said alot of the time they don't find the loss until the 12 week scan so I'm glad I was being monitored closley. Hope all will be well with you. In my prayers. Chelley =

Answer: Im 29 and have been on clomid for 6 months and thought I was 6weeks pregnant when I went for my scan. The doc could not see anything in the scan, did tests and said that I am only 4 weeks pregnant. How is this possible when I know the first day of my last period was 6 weeks ago. should I be worried??? Is it that my baby is not growing correctly and that is the why test show I am only 4 weeks. I'm sor freaked out. I have scan on Friday. Hope you are all doing ok. It has really helped to read all your experiences. Im thinking of you all. xx =

Answer: I am 27 and just finished my second round of Clomid. I have had irregular cycles most of my adult life. Anyway, I was exactly 28 days at the end of my first round... no baby... I finished my second round and as I write this, I am actually 11 days late. I took a HPT on the third missed day, and it came back NEG. On the fifth missed day, I tried another one first thing in the morning and it was still NEG. I decided to call my OB/GYN and they ran a blood test. That came back NEG also. I am also experiencing the syptoms that everyone is metioning (stabbing/dull pains in my tummy area, extreme fatigue, upset stomach in the mornings). I am really wondering if there is a chance that I am preg, but all of the tests were done just too early? Has anyone else been in this boat before? I am worried because the OB/GYN wants me to come in 3 days from now to get a depo shot and then start another round of clomid. I really hope he tests first to make sure that I in fact am not!!! Help! Thank you all in advance. It's been encouraging and interesting to read all of the postings here so far. Take care...Tulip =

Answer: I have just finished my first round of clomid 50mg. I have had the same dull pains all is decribing and have actually felt the ovulation(ovary cramps) is how my doc decribed it. It is when you develope the follicle for the egg and it burst and releases the egg. It feels very stabbing and the dull pains are continuous. Almost feels as though my period wants to come on but just can't. I am wondering if I might actually conceive. Congratulations on all of your pregnancies! I am also in the AF so I guess I may be a little stressed out!!!! God Bless our troops! =

Answer: i understand exactly how you feel! i am 15 and i am 5 weeks pregnant with twins! i completly know what you mean with the stabing abdomial pains! mine get to hurting so bad that if i move the worng way, i feel as though i have been shot stright through the stomach! it hurts so bad! don't be scared as long as your taking your prenatials everything should be alright! if you experience more worse pain, then you should contact your doctor ethier immediately or you should have a close friend, a spouse or a family relative rush you to the emergency room so that they can check you out and see what is wrong! i know from experience, that is what happened to me so then i went to the hospital last time i was pregnant and they had to do any emergency C-Section and i had my other little girl! the doctor had told me that i was supposed to have twins but my baby was just born in a bubble which was scary because i thought that she was going to die and it scared the living hell out of me! but everything was alright after that! well, if you get the chance fiona, e-mail me sometime at lilsweetydee2007@hotmail.com i can't wait to hear from you girl! =

Answer: dont worry, due to this being your 1st pregnancy i am sure every little cramp or tickle alarms you. some times it could be the uterus stretching or maybe you have a tilted uterus and it's getting in line, the body has a funny way of repairing it's self! god bless and best of luck. i am 7wks and did the clomid and provera a few times. this final time was all about timing. keep your calenders and your partner in tune with you and your body! =

Answer: Clare, I am in the same boat as you. My husband and I got pregnant in 2001 with our first son with Clomid and Glucophage in the third month. He was born healthy 6 days before my due date. I got pregnant November of 2003 with our second son without Clomid or Glucophage (I have to take both to get pregnant according to my dr.). I lost him at 18 weeks on 3/9/04. We are now in our third round of Clomid and Glucophage. The first two months I was on 100mg Clomid and this month I am on 150mg by my request (I got pregnant with my first son with 150mg). I was told to lie flat on my back for 30 minutes following intercourse. I also read that raising your bottom with a pillow or something would help. Good luck!! =

I had a breeze of a pregnancy-no morning sickness just tired for the 1st trimester. Allan was 7 lbs 10 oz when he was born. The pains in your belly are just your uterus stretching and growing, don't worry about it too much! And, I'm 8 wks pregnant with baby #2! Answer: I am going on Clomid for the first time next month and just curious if others had low pregesterone. My numbers this last month were 6.6!! I had 2 miscarraiges last year. I can get pregnant after 1 or 2 months but can not seem to keep the pregnancy. I am 35 years old though so I wonder if my age has allot to do with it. Let me know your thoughts. =

Answer: I have had one birth through the use of clomid. Not to worry about the pains that usually means that the baby is implanting and you uterus is growing. I am currently on clomid. My first round I am trying for #2 I think I am pregnany but I have another week before I can test. =

Answer: I took clomid for three months before I finally became pregnant. We tried forever (2 years) and I was only 22. My baby girl just turned one last week. We have decided to try for another baby (been trying for 4 months with no luck). I have irregular periods and will probably end up going back on clomid. The longer I took it the worse the symptoms got. The hot flashes were the worst. I would wake up in the middle of the night dripping with sweat! But in the end, it is all worth it. Taking the basal temp. is for the birds, but it really works. Stick with it!! =

Answer: Clomid - I am suppose to start taking it this month. I am eager yet worried. I am on provera day 3 right now - I am suppose to go through 10 days of provera and then beging clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. I have had no testing done - I am 24 today! And we have just tried for 5 months to conceive and my cycles are not regular - they range from 26-35 days. Doc. thinks this will work for me - Do you guys have similary experiences? Please email me roxy442@yahoo.com - It would mean so much to me to have a clomid buddy - I want to discuss it with someone, but family and friends do not know that I am going through this! Thanks and God Bless! =

Answer: I am pregnant for the first time, and I too can thank clomid for my pregnancy. I am 15 wks into my prenancy, and I am only carrying one. The only issue I have had w/ clomid is my dr. could not tell wich side i had ovulated from, because the meds stimulated both ovaries. Otherwise, no issues at all. =

Answer: I am about 5 weeks pregnant (thanks to chlomid). 3 days ago I went into urgent care for terrible right abdominal pains, rt shoulder pain and some bleeding. My hCG level was 9000, equivalent to 5-6 wks pregnant. the pain subsided and came back the next day. We went into triage and they did an US. I was in so much pain- I couldnt breath, they wouldnt give me anything for the pain in case I would need surgery. They said it could be free flowing blood due to an ectopic pregnancy (I had a miscarriage in sep '04 at 8wks-also used chlomid). The Dr. then came in and said the pain I was experiencing was my uterus expanding and working harder because I am pregnant with twins! Boy was I shocked- how can it cause so much pain? Some of you have mentioned sharp pains- but like this? Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?? I have taken the last 2 days off work and wonder if I should take the rest of the week off? I am a teacher and my class is terrible this year. The pain is not as bad, just the sharp pains and some spotting at times (Dr. said that is due to implantation) Any advice is appreciated! Thanks. =

Answer: Thank you fi for your response. It does reassure me. Please let me know how your appt goes. Very interested. Maria- Yes, I had very regular periods for the 2 1/2 years,(no luck getting PG) but after checking my ovulation each month for almost 2 yrs I went to my OB. I got pregnant my first time using Chlomid- although I did miscarry. I got pregnant the 2nd time using chlomid after the miscarriage. I think my body needed help allowing more eggs to be released, because I was ovulating but nothing more than that would happen. We needed chlomid! ;-)  =

Answer: Hi Fiona. I was 28 when I began taking clomid. It wasn't working for me at 50mg, then my dr prescribed 100mg tabs. After 8 months of taking clomid, I became pregnant with triplets. I went into premature labor on 10/1/04. The babies were born (2 girls, 1 boy) but they only lasted for about 1 hr. Very, very sad. But I'm hopeful that next time it will be better. I am back on clomid, this is my first cycle. I'm hoping for only 1 baby this time. The fact that I got pregnant is of great joy to me since I thought for years I was infertile. I experienced the stabbing pains as well. I though I was getting my period, but instead I was pregnant. Good luck. Hope everything is fine.  =

Answer: Fiona- I just started Clomid yesterday (day 5), My husband and I have been trying for the past 5 months. I have been ovulating but my cycles are not regular- 21- 27 days. My doctor wanted to put me on Clomid when we first began trying to regulate my cycles. I decided to wait a few months to see what happened. Over the past month, I have spoken to my doctor on a regular basis. I have also done a lot of research on the drug itself. There is an increased risk in multiple birth- I happen to think it is more than a 10% increase, my doctor thinks so as well. The pains that you are feeling are normal. As long as you don't start to bleed. Hopefully, the clomid works for me and my husband fast. If you are getiing worried about anything during your pregnancy, just call the doctor. If it is anything to be worried about, the doctor will see you. Good luck with everything and Congratulations! =

Answer: Hi, I am 22 yrs old and irregular on my period which my doctor had prescribed prometrium for me that is supposed to give me my period I started it on 01-12-05 & supposed to take for 9 days which I stopped on 01-25-05. Then I'm supposed to wait for my period which I started spotting on 01-18-05. My doctor told me to wait she said the first day of your bleeding to wait 5 days & start clomid 50 mg. Started clomid on 01-22-05 and supposed to take days 5 thru 9 of cycle, I stop taking clomid on 01-26-05 & on the last day of taking clomid I'm supposed to start intercourse and do it every other day for 10 days thats when I'm most fertile. She also told me that after intercourse each time to lay in bed up to 30 mins.So hopefully I will get pregnant this round doctor said I should take a pregnancy test on valentines day! Anybody know what symptoms I should look for to tell if I'm pregnant?Had lots of mood swings real tired all the time sore breasts and cramping in my stomach! Not sure if its from medication I guess it's a wait and see thing. Good luck To Everyone! =

Answer: Hi, I'm 23 and have been trying to get pregnant for about 2 years now. Since I first started my period (i was about 13 years old) They have been irregular until I was about 15 years old and I completely stopped having periods. I went to numerous doctors and was told it was normal. I was tested (blood test) for polycystic overy syndrome a couple times and was told I did not have this. Back in Sept of 04 I went to the doctor for help with getting pregant, I was then refered to a gyno who was sure I had polycystic even before he done any test. He then preformed a transvaginal ultrasound wich confirmed it. He also found I had endometrial Hyperplasia and cyst in my uterus. I had a D&C (which I also found out i had a unicornuate uterus (half a uterus)) and was then sceduled for a diagnostic Laparoscopy. I had to get blood test done first and the results came back positive for pregnancy though the level was low. I had blood test done once a week for the next few weeks, the levels went up but not like they should have. The dr said it was not growing right or it was growing in one of my tubes. This was very hard to hear. We went ahead with the laparoscopy (the preganacy ended up terminating its self) and found it was not in my tube. Its been a week since that was done and right now I have to take medication for 5 days to have my period. On the 5th day of my period I am to start Clomid. The instruction paper I was given says to take a teaspoon of Robitussin twice a day on the 4th thru 7th day after the last clomid and to have intercourse on the 5th and 7th day. The reason for this long story (sorry about the length) is I was wondering if anyone might have any of the same diagnosis as me and if so are you or were pregnant, if so is/was there any complications, and if any one might know the reason for taking Robitussin? =
