I have heard there are places in the feet, ankle and hands that can help induce labor if pressure is applied. Anyone familar with this? Does it work?

Yes, there are a few areas that can help start ctx or keep them going. One of at the web between the thumb and forefinger. You will know you hit the spot when it "burns" a bit. The ankle spot: Use your 4 fingers, on the outside of the ankle place your little finger at the top of your ankle. Now at the top of your forefinger begin the palpate. When you feel that burning you have hit the spot. DO NOT do either of these unless you are at term! Yes, they work. I used them with my 4th home birth to keep labor moving along.
