rapid weight loss after labor

i weighed in at 129 when i gave birth. my prepregnancy weight was 113. now i'm at 106 just 12 days after giving birth. i feel underweight. i'm only 5feet 1 inches tall. i'm petite. i'm also breastfeeding. any suggestions. can this be normal?

I understand how you feel. I know all you hear from people is how they can't lose pregnancy weight. I'm 5.5 always have been a thin girl, all my weight during my pregnancy was in my belly. After giving birth, I felt like I was going to disappear into thin air! I felt so skinny and what made it worse, was that my appetite that I had during the pregnancy was completely GONE!! I actually missed being hungry and remember not being hungry whatsoever, which contributed to feeling so skinny. Don't worry about it too much, you'll most definately get back on a healthy weight track. Give your hormones a bit of time to get back in order and stay as healthy as you can. That's what I wouldn't done if I didn't get pregnant again right away!! :)

I'd get your thyroid checked as its fairly common for it to be out of whack post partum.
