Answer: I had identical twin boys in 2003. The symptons are the same as having one baby. Just more weight gain. Morning sickness was awful for me I lost 40 lbs in the first trimester. But I delivered healthy boys at 34 weeks. They weighed 4 lbs 2.4 oz and 4 lbs. 15 oz. =

Answer: Lidia, i don't know about the stomic part when you stand up fast but if you have already lost one twin with previouse pregnancy i would be really careful.as far as the other part,i was really really sick also and at 12 weeks i was already 3 sizes bigger than usual. =

i have boy and girl ferternal twins and with the research i have done,all ferternal twins come from the maternal side,you inherit the ability to produce 2 eggs at one time either from a mother or grandmother and so forth.
the last set of twins on my side was from my great great grandmother who had 3 sets,but on twin from each set died as infants,but now my husbands side is full of twins.anyway ill stop going on now. lol =
Answer: SInce I found out I was pregnant, I have been having strange dreams. The most vivid was about two friendly/happy fish I saw and stroked while I was diving in lovely blue clear water. I got on the internet the following day and FREUD says that dreaming of fish represents male sperm! 2 fish 2 sperm???!!! I know this is totally unrealistic...just a story I could tell all you mothers or expectants out there!!!! I am totally huge (boobs and belly) for 8 weeks....maybe there's something in it after all!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. Will keep you posted! =
Answer: I did read somewhere that feeling much more sick during the first trimestar is more likely you may be carrying twins, but it is very rare, especially identical, apparently!

Answer: I just lost a twin very early in pregnancy, but my stomach got very big right off the bat. I have much more morning sickness than with my first and am very very tired. Other than that, I'm not sure if there are any "symptoms" that can give it away. I didn't know about the second one until I got my first ultrasound last week and it showed one empty sac. =

I am 5 weeks but my boobs & belly are huge already, i have gained about 6 pounds in 2/3 weeks but i dont have morning sickness but my sense of smell is so much more sensitive. Have you gone for an u/s yet and have you told your ob what happened with the bleeding? I went last week (at 6 wks) and was told that I did have twins, but one didn't make it and the sac was empty. I'm going tuesday for 2nd u/s to find out if the other one's alright. From what I've read, you can either bleed the twin out or it'll get absorbed back into your body if it's lost early enough. =

Answer: i am 11 n a half week pregnant with my 5th baby and from early on i hav thought there was two as my weight gain is tremendous and my tiredness is unbeleivable,also hav had lots of pelvic pain am just waiting on my scan now and i will be 14 weeks wen i hav that! i dont think doctors treat you the same if you already have children and its unfair to be made to wait,i will let you guys know the out come but as far as symptoms go every woman and every pregnancy is different so who knows? =
Answer: just a thought, but wouldn't a hpt still come out positive for a good while after a m/c simply because the hormones need time to return to normal. i don't think they could go back to normal only after one day but i could be wrong. baby dust to you !!!!!!!

Answer: I am 10 weeks pregnant and won't have my first dr. visit for another month or so, and it is my first pregnancy, don't feel alone teresa! I think it sucks becasue I am having extreame pelvic pain, leg cramping and excessive tirdness. I think it maybe twins becasue I am only 10 weeks and look about 4 months along. I have gained 10 pounds in the last 2 months and although the nausia is hoorendous, I have not had any vomiting. Answer: hiya.. my mom had twins when i was 11... she told me that when u reach 30 u have a 80% chance of having twins even tho they are not in the family. My mom and dad do not have twins on any side of the family as far as they know.
i want twins and i hope that i do.. My husband has twins in his family every third generation has twins with out fail.. His older half brother have had twin girls..

Answer: Dont be so sure you wont get morning sickness, i didnt get mine till about 8/9 weeks im now 17 and still suffer! Although my scan only showed one baby I am still very big for my dates according to friends and family, but as yet still no movements - do you feel twins move sooner or later? =

Answer: I have only had one pregnancy, so I cannot say personally, but those who compare have said that in general, morning sickness was stronger, they were more tired,showed very early and weight gain was higher. I would agree with showing early ( people were asking when I was due when I was only 5 or 6 months pregnant! yikes)... and in terms of weight gain... I was OK for most of my pregnancy... but gained ( and got HUGE) at the end with water retention.... probably gained about 60 or 70 lbs... most of that in the last month. Good luck with your pregnancies and your babies everyone. =
Answer: 23 weeks with twins, first pregnancy. I have nothing to compare it to, but I was sicker than a dog for the first trimester and actually lost a lot of weight. Then started realising I was growing out of my regular jeans at like 6 weeks!!! I thought it was just my imagination ot something but went to the doc and sure enough at 8 weeks they did an u/s because they were worried that I might have a fibroid or something and saw both sacs. Other than the weight gain ealier and quicker, and extreme sickness that only lasted the first trimester....that was it for me. =
Answer: This is my 3rd pregnancy, at 8 weeks I look like I am 5 months..I can get 12 hours sleep, withen an hour after waking I feel like I havn't slept in days, I am hungry more often and feel like I am starving an hour after eating, morning sickness... I am wondering about twins because of the severe morning sickness, excessive tiredness, and my jeans are already uncomfortable and i just can't stop eatting. i feel like i havent eatten in a few days if i dont eat atleast every hour or so. and my sister had a miscarriage with twins, but she is my half sister from my dads side. the only other set of twins in my family is from my cousin, his wife had twins, so i dont think that would give me a chance where she probably got it from the females in her family. my sister and i are almost identical though and both got pregnant while on the pill. go in for a sonogram in a few weeks, not sure if that will help, but whatever i find out i hope im carrying a healthy baby or babies and hope this morning sickness disappears!!! =

Answer: Answer: Not sure if this is how to talk through this page.....let me know if this works....I have been told for 16 years(since I was 16) that I would not conceive because of PCOS and Endometriosis. I have been to an infertility specialist, 3 gynecologists and 2 (main regular physicians). However although we had thought about clomid and decided it to be our next option they put me on metformin which is also not only a diabetic drug but a fertility drug. Because of my PCOS I had high insulin. I was once again told that I was in an anovulation cycle and couldn't get pregnant. I found out (first nausea) and then 4 positive tests:) that I am pregnant. My doctors were amazed. I have narrowed the date of conception down to May 15-May 30.approx. and I am already getting nausea., swelling, breast tenderness, and I can't fit into pants I wore 5 weeks ago...(tummy area is too tight). My husband of course was extatic and now I have my 1PN on July 12. I have an ultrasound on July 29 and my obstetrician appointment. She would not see me before approx. 3 months. Now of course I am wondering is it normal to have such weight gain so quickly, also wondering what is my chances of twins when taking metformin....my brother and sister - in - law are having twins...and that will be the 6th generation of twins....if you have any advice...please let me know.....very excited about conceiving but very curious as to whether it's twins. At my stage can the doctor tell if it is twins by the 12th of July by the dobler? =

My husband's mother was a twin, but I don't know if twins run on my side of the family or not. My husband keeps telling me that I am pregnant with twins. Answer: I am 30 weeks with identical twin girls. Identical twins are not gentics it is just a luck of the draw that the eggs spilt. My pregnancy was the same as the others. I went in for a normal ultrasound and found I had 2 bundles of joy. =

I also have 6 generations of twins on our side (my brother and sister in law are having twins). I have only gained 1 pound since 21st of June but my tummy is getting very big, finding it hard to fit into pants that I wore in May. I am bigger and thought because I had a tummy that I wouldn't show soon but I am. I also have morning sickness and I am very tired. I had a Dr.'s appointment today and she will be sending my for an ultrasound to see if there is more than one baby. I am excited., nervous and releived that I will know...all at the same time. Answer: I am not hoping for twins because my daughter will only be 14 months old when the baby is born and my hands will already be full with one! If God decides to bless me with twins, I guess all I can do is take care of them with the best of my ability. I haven't had much morning sickness. I get nauseuos, but that's the jist of it. Answer: I had an u/s and it showed a singleton baby. However I compaired the u/s with my cousins who had twins and at her first u/s it showed baby, bladder, then baby...mine shows baby then huge bladder (three times the size of hers-I am thinking she had an endovaginal scan rather than one with a dobler) I am wondering if I only have one or if one could be hiding behind my bladder considering it was so big. When he did the u/s it seemed that he was trying to find if there was another heart beat sound...only the one was found. I guess my question is could he have missed it? =

My hgc levels were high, all day sickness at first now every other day still, im already pettite but lost over 20 pounds by the second month, sense of smell somtimes unbearable. my first u/s showed me bigger than normal but no twins, I had asked my doc if i could be having twins since it runs in my family at first she said maybe but when i went in to listen for the heart beat i ask if she heard two she said no but said we would be sure at the 18 week u/s. I do know quite a few moms with twins who say they didnt know till 5 or 6 months but either very sick or lots of heartburn and not very big till after the 6 month. =

Answer: well i am 30 weeks pregnant, i had a miscarriage with my first child and have delievered 2 kids , for some reason I am very large with this one and feel that I am having twins, they have done 2 ultrasounds but the doctor done them, not the lady that normally does them, the ultrasounds didnt turn out looking right they look as if there was something in the background, the doctor said I was having another boy, but I cant conveince myself that I am, could this be a sign of having twins? HELP!!! =
Answer: angel there is very little chance (less than 1%)that twins were missed at two separate sono regardless of who did the sono as there just are too many body parts, sacs/cords/placentas, heads to be missed. Anyone who sat in a twin sono past 15 weeks would know that twins can not hide behind one another as "something" would show...they are simply too big. REst assured you are having one healthy baby. =
