I had unprotected sex while I was on my period and still have it. It has been irregular for awhile. I know it's possible to have your period while you're pregnant. I believe it is possible to get pregnant while on your period. I have had a lot of symptoms and I don't know what to do. I haven't been to the doctor yet, but sometimes I feel I may be pregnant. I had lower back pain for like 2-3 days; I get nauseated at night and sometimes during the day; I have heartburn a lot and mostly when I lay down; I haven't taken a pregnancy test since I had unprotected sex. There's just so much going on and I don't know what to do. Someone please give me some answers!!!!

There's a very slim chance of getting pregnant while on your period, because the reason you have your period is because the egg you realeased 14 days prior didn't get fertilized and is now breaking down inside of your body. If you feel you should take a test to ease your thoughts then do it as soon as possible, or you will just drive yourself crazy with all these "symptoms" you're getting. I'm not saying they're in your head, but I know from experience that the body can play tricks on you when your feeling stressed out about something. Maybe you should try birth control to help with your irregular periods as well. Good Luck!

Well, I'm not pregnant. It's just a bacterial infection. My period was late, but it started today. I am on birth control to regulate them. So there's really nothing for me to worry about now. Thanks for your response!
