The rumor mill has gone into overtime today as celebrity columnists scramble to confirm whether or not singer Alanis Morissette is pregnant with her first child. Morissette’s appearance as a guest on NBC’s Today Show on May 23rd ignited the talk that she might indeed be eating for two. This most recent public appearance by the singer has generated many comments regarding her apparent heavier weight and baggy clothing. This has left many to wonder whether Morissette has merely put on a little extra weight or if she is indeed pregnant and attempting to hide the baby bump with loose fitting clothing. Speculation has begun over who the father could be and no obvious conclusions have been drawn. Morissette has been single since her break-up in 2006 with fiancé Ryan Reynolds, who is now currently engaged to celebrity actress Scarlett Johannson.
