DH Useless

When my DH and I decided that I should return to work for at least two more years (pension/benefit issues) we agreed that he had more flexibility at work in the morning and I had more flexibility at work in the afternoon. Therefore, he would bring our daughter to daycare in the AM and I would pick her up in the PM. Three days before I am to go back to work, he doesn't want to drop off or pick up?! But, thinks I should do everything and go to work? This is so crazy. At this point, if he doesn't help, he's useless. I'm totally stressed out about returning to work, feel guilty about leaving my daughter at daycare and now this. What can I do?

Write up a list of chores for him, cleaning, cooking, stuff he doesn't like to do. Tell him his daughter is his responsibility too, and it takes two to make a marriage work. You can't do everything yourself, it's to much. I also felt guilty leaving my son at daycare. I ended up taking him out and working from home. Here's what really gets my dh, call his mother and vent. I have an italian mother in law that goes nuts when my dh pulls crap like yours is doing. Better yet, if your mil is around , ask her if she can drop the baby off and explain why.lol Try talking to your dh and explain how your feeling, you might be surprised to find that he is having guilty feelings too about dropping her off. My dh is this macho italian, but it bothered him to leave our son at daycare everyday. Good luck, I hope you guys reach common ground and work it out. Most important is not to over extend yourself.
