My MIL thinks she knows everything but the problem is she has no common sense and is extremely rude. She seriously is a BIG problem. I just went on maternity leave this week after months of her telling everyone its her baby and giving me a hard time for naming the baby. I like my job but any little raise I get is a "favor" from MIL like I havent worked my ass off for the past 2 years. Im not sure if I should start looking for a new job or not. My mom says I should try and stick it out there for as long as possible because of the added benefits if the baby is sick and I need to leave it isnt seen as a problem. Its just I hate all of the rude comments that I get from her.

I suggest getting a self help book, like how to deal with difficult people. It will give you helpful resources to deal with your mil. It's really fustrating. I have a FIL like that, however I don't work with him (i think I would kill myself if I had to). My inlaws think that my DD is their baby also. If things get out of hand though I would definatly look for a new job. Sometimes the benfits aren't worth the aggrevation. I realized that all to well. Think of it this way, God forbid the baby does get sick it would be a rare instance, it's not like you would need to be out of the office every month. Something to think about. Good Luck.
