I am a lead singer in a rock band, and I'm at 25 weeks. I sing for about 4 hours, 4 noghts a week in a well ventilated club. My doctor says I can work as long as I feel up to it, but I want to know if there will be any effects on his (it's a boy!) nervous system or hearing.

babies are very protected and everything that they hear is muffled so your baby should be fine. I wouldn't worry too much

I asked my doc the same thing cuz I work around noisy machinery, and she said that I shouldn't worry about it, but that noise as loud as a "rock concert" would be bad. I would definately seek a second opinion since you're exposed to such loud music on a regular basis....

I asked my dr about going to a rock concert, and she said it is fine. She said the baby hears about like we would hear under water.
