Dismissed While Pregnant

I have been told by 6 months probation is up and as i have been unwell for 28 days during this time with my diabetis and being pregnant (each one makes the other worse) I no longer have a job and was asked to leave, is this right or not as the pregnancy has made my diabetis worse ie high blood sugar lots of different infections. Please help

If you are in the U.S., this is against the law. It falls under the Civil Rights Act of 1964...

It actually does not fall under that law since she was under a probationary period. Missing that many days makes you an unreliable employee. As someone in management I could not afford to have an employee that was out that often. It is not discrimination because I am sure if any other new employee pregnant or not would have been terminated. I am sorry but your employer was well within his or her rights.

It really depends on what state you're in. In IL, the state only acknowledges a 30 day probationary period and without other documentation will consider it a wrongful termination. I'd check with your state laws.
