Yes!!! Breastmilk is the perfect food for your baby & has the added benifits of antibodies which help fight infection & sickness, which formula CAN'T provide. It is also a wonderful bonding experience for the both of you. The only reason why it may not be is if the mother is selfish & does drugs or alcohol while breastfeeding which will pass through to the baby. Goodluck with your baby & I hope you are successful with breastfeeding & don't worry about your age being an issue, if you could get pregnant at 15 you will be able to breastfeed at 15/16.

mariahe I just want to say that is awesome that you are thinking about BF. It takes alot to do it and it truely is the best thing for your baby, also you . You will drop the baby weight pretty quick by bf.. That is a great perk but also you will have an amazing bond with your l/o that noone else can have. Good luck to you.

holy cap attack lol. but yea breast feeding is amazing. But she doesn't have a baby yet. She posted a question on the teen pregnancy board about wondering if she should have a baby or not because her boyfriend and herself really want one badly.

are you preg? yes breast is best. i hope you think carefully about the baby! babies aren't all fun and games, it least finish high school. You never realize how much work it is until you have one!!
