Ladies. I am bf my dd and it is working out great. I have to go back to work in October and have a superpowered breast pump. I don't know how I am going to do this once I do go back to work. I am in the military living overseas (no 110 adaptors). I know I am supposed to pump at least 3 times a day. I don't think that will be the problem, but finding a private place will be. Has anyone ever used the car adaptor? Just wondering. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I had a friend tell me she pumped AS she drove to work! ha ha No experience here, but wanted to let you know I respect you for trying and working through this under such circumstances.

I have used the car adaptor for the Medela pumps. It did not work in one of our vehicles (chevy malibu). However, it works in all of our work trucks and our other personal vehicles. It has a really long cord that is very accomidating if you are in a back seat as well. If your pump is a medela, I would suggest sending them an e-mail asking them for a list of vehicles that it does not work it. The technical support person indicated that a list does exist. I would also suggest asking for/or buying some extra fuses to keep on hand. When we plugged it in to our malibu, it burned up the fuse...then I could not use it in any other vehicle until I replaced it! We were able to buy a box of 4 fuses at Radio Shack for around $1.50. I know Medela has some on hand as well. I keep them with the pump - just in case I blow a fuse again.

Trying3 and Kellens Mom
Thanks for your reply, I do have the medela pump so I will try the car adaptor vs. trying at work... Kellens Mom, as always, your inputs are right on. Thanks.
