I was Bfing my dd till she turned 8 months and stopped. I didn't get my first cycle till she was 7 months and then I just completely forgot and 9 months later I'm Pregnant!!! So Be Very Careful if you are not trying to get pregnant again.

Just have protected sex and you wont get pregnant.

Well according to natural family planning, breastfeeding can only be used as a contraceptive if the baby is up to 6mths, is still breastfeeding through the night & your periods have NOT returned.

Like you my cycle also returned when ds was 7mths, I had one other period than got pregnant, although I continued to bf ds until he was 13mths. I am currently 34wks pregnant, but the difference being that we knew the risks of sex when my cycle started again, so were not surprised that I got pregnant again.
