Do you get your period when you are breastfeeding? If not, how long until you get your period again, and can you take birth control pills while breastfeeding to prevent another pregnancy too soon after the birth of your child? Help please, i can't remember the facts.....thanx

Talk to your doctor. It's always a good idea to stay away from drugs of any kind while nursing. Every woman is different as far as period returning. However, you don't have to get your period back in order to get pregnant. We used condoms.
