Breastfeeding And Pregnant

If I become pregnant while breastfeeding my 16 month old, do I need to stop breastfeeding?

no u dont need to stop breast feeding while pregnant providing you are getting enough calcium and vitamins..u will need more now you are pregnant

I agree - it is completely possible to breastfeeding while pregnant. I nursed my 1st ds through my 2nd pregnancy, and I am currently nursing ds#2 early in my 3rd pregnancy. Some babies will wean during a pregnancy, and some will not. There is a new book out called Adventures in Tandem Nursing that I have not read but I have heard that they talk about nursing during pregnancy. Might be worth seeing if you can get it, at least from the library, or through interlibrary loan if your library doesn't have it.
