Hi, I breast fed my son for 18 months now and i want to stop. He is also weaning away slowly now. I would like to know what will happen - would i have painful breasts and would milk stop coming. How long will my breast pain and how can i get back to normal life?

You can have pain AND milk for up to a year after you stop breastfeeding. This is not true for everyone, but it was true for me. The pain and the milk will decrease as time goes by. My mother-in-law is a Certified Lactation Consultant and this is what she told me when I was weaning.
