I have a similiar situation as feel so bad, i have migraine headaches alot that require me to take medications on a regular basis. I have spoken to specialists and the meds would excrete in the breastmilk and harm the baby. My husband wants me to not take the medication and breastfeed, but I know that I need the meds when the migraines occur, what should I do? Anyone please give me their advice or similiar situation

I have tried so many different medications that didnt work, that was through my specialist, and the only options left are the ones I am taking(not currently since I am pregnant) but after the baby is born I will need to take them.

I also have migraines on a regular basis and the only thing I've found that works is aleve. My pediatrician told me that the amount of medicine that actually gets in the milk is quite small, and in most cases it's okay to take it and breastfeed. She also said that if I needed to take more than one, if the first pill didn't work or something, that I could just pump out the next feeding of milk and give the baby some I'd already pumped and frozen. Hope this helps. What is the medication you need to take?
