Nausea & Headaches When Weaning?

Hi. I've started to wean my 4 month old son as of last week and have started having headaches and nausea. I also had some mild cramping on the weekend. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm wondering if it could be from weaning or maybe it's my period coming back...any thoughts would help!

Hi yourtrish I am still bf my 10mth ds but around when he was 4mths I started having similar symptoms and apparently it is not uncommon because your hormones are still trying to get back to normal. I started taking mega vitamin B on my doctors advice and found this helped enormously with my tiredness and headaches. But just to make sure I would also take a preg test just in case, cause if your trying to wean your body is more likely to become fertile much quicker than if you were still exclusively breastfeeding. If in doubt go and see your doctor. Hope this has helped.

i feel the same way and i get dizzy! i don't know if it is from not breastfeeding all the time, i breastfeed part time. i'm glad you posted this,never thought that could happen.
