My d/d is 8wks. She weighs over 11lbs. She's been a good eater til now. Lately she is grazing and then wants to eat again 30mins later. How do I make sure she gets full at each feeding? I have been tempted to supplement w/formula as it seems all I do is b/f. I don't want to supplement but grow weary of feeding so much.

It's exhausting, I know. Probably if you hold out another month or so, she'll drastically reduce feeding times and # of feedings. My 3 kids did somewhere around 3-4 months. It gets much easier :-)

Sounds like a growth spurt to me.

I just talked to my pediatrician about this same problem. Is she feeding and then falling asleep and waking up for more 30 minutes later?? If so, wake her up by changing her or taking off some of her clothes. I'm trying to make an effort to make sure that my baby feeds for at least 20 minutes before I let him fall asleep. It seems mean but it works. The Dr. said if I had to I could even put a wet washcloth on the baby's forehead to get him to wake up and eat. I haven't had to try that yet.

Perl, she doesn't always fall asleep. She just comes off the breast like she's done but wants to eat again soon after. I feel all I'm doing is feeding. Some moms have definite feeding schedules. I did w/my first child but haven't done that w/this one.Maybe that's the problem.

My dd did this around the same time, eat, eat, eat... Now at 3 months she's leveling out. I know she was having a growth spurt because she'll feed a bunch for a few days and then have a sleepy day where she just wants to sleep because she's tired from growing.
