So my dd Bailey and I go to a baby parent time once a week. Someone suggested eating oatmeal to up milk supply, she said that it worked for her within the day! Some of the other ladies tried it last week and this week both said they noticed the milk production and one even said she got engorged and had to pump it off! Just a suggestion to anyone who is looking for a quick and definitely easy way to up your supply!

Interesting!! I love oatmeal. I'll have to try it, especially since my right breast is still slacking!!

Yes, I read this on kellymom.com too, I believe. I think it works.

Seems like I'm fuller today, had oatmeal for breakfast!! I'm going to eat it again tomorrow and see if it's the same. I should pump a bottle for daddy to feed dd and see if I get better results. I only got 3 oz the other night; never can get much if it's not the a.m.

Update-Just pumped 6.5 oz. My dd ate two hours ago!! I only got 3oz the other night at this time...is it the oatmeal!!?? Pretty interesting!!

DB I was sceptical at first also....I didnt think something like oatmeal would make much diffrence. I havent tried it because I am not a huge oatmeal fan so we have none in the house. But I am interested and I am for sure going to give it a go sometime soon.

Well, I'm going to eat oatmeal for breakfast again and see what happens today. I'll definitely be eating oatmeal when I go back to to work and have to pump 2-3 times per day. Pretty neat if it works, because I really do love oatmeal.

EricaLynn-I'd reccommend the instand oatmeal from Quaker with Apples and cinnamon in it or the Maple and Brown sugar is good too. Plain oatmeal just isn't as tasty.

Oatmeal worked for me as well when I was having a bad milk day. ;) I always fix mine plain with a TON of brown sugar and a bit (a half a pat or so) of butter. If you have fresh fruit it makes it a bit more interresting...bananas seem to go well with oatmeal because they're so soft anyway. Maybe mixing dry oats in something like yogurt would help your dislike, too? Sometimes I do that and it's a bit weird on texture, but it tastes no different than just plain yogurt. ;)

Yeah the Quaker kind is the only kind I will eat, but even then I dont perticularly care for it. But I can get over it to see if it will work for me.

Well, I'm a believer!! I seem to have way more!! Even in my right side that usually slacks...way cool...and I agree, brown sugar is yummy!
