I am breastfeeding, but pump once a day so that my husband can bottle feed our baby. The baby doesn't take to the bottle very well... it takes her about an hour to finish 2 oz. A friend told me that it could be the baby's latch on the bottle... that it should be similar to the latch on the boob. I was wondering if anyone knew of a website with photos or instructions on how to properly latch a baby onto a bottle nipple? Thx

I'd get a faster flow nipple on that bottle! The baby will figure out how to drink it if she's hungry enough. It is a totally different sucking technique for the baby so it is probably less the latch than figuring out the suck.

No. You want a slow flow nipple if you are ebf. The baby may reject you if you get a faster flow nipple b/c the bottle is no work for the baby. Unlike the breast which is slow flowing. What type of bottle are you using?

The platex nurser natural latch bottles are great! My ds loves them and he is ebf. The nipple on them is shaped very natural and made for breastfed babies. I would try them! When bottle feeding, the babys mouth should be touching the rounded part of the nipple and the lips should be flanged out just like when nursing. It also helps to touch the nipple to the roof of the babies mouth when feeding so that he/she can feel it like when nursing. It may take a while for her to finish the bottle but this is better. If she drinks it to fast she will not feel full. When she drinks it slow she is getting that full feeling and wont need more. Over time she will get more efficient at bottle feeding. Try these things if you want and let me know how ot goes! Hope this helps
