That is an awesome question! But sorry I have no answer for you, I have been wondering the same thing & was going to ask my daughters Dr. next month. For mothers day my husband got me a $200 gift certificate, but I was pregnant at the time & couldn't use it, but now that I have had her, I am ready! I was thinking of getting the birth month flowers of my daughter & son on my back, since it was a mothers day gift ... I thought it might be special. Whatv are you getting?

I am getting her footprints bday and name! cant wait!!!! anniversary is next week and we both wanted to go get inked :-)

i googled it and there is no evidence to say that it is bad. But it says it is better to be safe then sorry, i think the issue is still in debate at the moment. The biggest concern would be getting an infection from the needle ( hiv). Also it says something about the ink containing mercury which can get into your bloodstream. personally i would wait. But if you decide to, i would discuss it with your doctor AND the tatoo artist.
