My daughter is now 7 months and i still havnt had a period. I have had unprotected sex, and i have taken pregnancy tests but not pregnant. I breastfeed on a morning and evening.
Has anyone else had this experience with no period for this length of time??

it's normal but you should start using birth control after 6 months if you don't want to get pregnant. Exclusive breastfeeding, less than 6 months, and no period are the general guidelines for relatively safe sex. After that you can get pregnant, but I think it is still less likely if your period has not returned. Some women never get it while breastfeeding at all and have to ween to get pregnant. Maybe you are one of them? I took pregnacy tests every now and then to check, especially before christmas because I knew I'd be having a few drinks. But then I got my period around 6 months. you can read more about it on kellymom.com

Istarted weaning her when she turned 6 months and she has bottle feeds during the day, thats why i thought i would get a period. What was your feeding pattern like when your periods returned

Enjoy it while it lasts. My period came back about 5 weeks after I stopped breastfeeding, and actually I was totally pumping for the last 2 months.

I got my perid 3 months after I delivered, and I am NOT supplementing, just pumping twice while at work, and feeding my son 4 times at home. I was bummed that my period came so soon, I thought I would have more time....I think my period started back up again once I got back to work because I started about 3 weeks after I went back (and started with the pumping) so, it can happen. I am not on birthcontrol, other than too tired for sex, and when we do have it, we use condoms. Good luck!
