Will I ever stop leaking? Just a poll here-- when did you finally stop leaking; either between nursing sessions, or out of the other boob while your lo is nursing? ............ I'm 5 months pp, I ebf my ds but we just started him on 1 tbsp rice cereal a day (mixed with breastmilk)... and I soak through the heavy-duty Johnson's disposable nursing pads (which I found most absorbant of all the ones I've tried) every day. If I sleep lying face down, I wake up lying on two puddles! And the longest I ever go between nursing sessions is 5-6 hours at night!

After the first 6 weeks or so with my oldest I rarely (if ever?) leaked... it just always seemd that I ONLY had the bare minimum that he needed and not a drop extra! But, I had more milk with the next two... I didn't leak all of the time, but I noticed having problems when my kids would have growth spurts and again when they would slow down a bit with growing/eating (I guess it would be easier to just say when my body was in regulating mode lol). That's when my other boob (not the one I was feeding from) would leak and also when I would leak at night. It didn't quit completely until I weaned them. After I weaned my 3rd, though, I didn't dry up for about 5 months... a few times I leaked while sleeping and one time I was out and a baby started crying and I started leaking! Freaky ;-)

I think I stopped leaking from the other side was around 2mo PP....I occasionally still leak over night when I sleep...One time last week out of no where I did leak from the right side while she was nursing on the left....that hasn't happened in 3 months, like I said! My milk supply has also decreased a lot since starting back at work, so maybe my body realizes there isn't enough to waste!

Oh yeah, one of our friends leaked the entire time she bf her son (12 months) and she also had to wear the "heavy duty" pads for all 12 months.

I've heard that lily padz work really well to stop leaking w/ out having to use those awful disposable pads.

Are the lily padz good for a heavy milk flow? Today as an experiment, I had a cup to catch the leakage from the boob ds wasn't nursing on while I fed him. I was actually spraying a good strong stream of milk, and ended up catching 1.25 oz of leakage in less than 10 minutes! I'm coming up on 6 months pp next week!

I was wondering the same thing- I am 2 months post partum and I still leak at night sometimes and from one boob while dd is nursing from the other boob. And my poor LO gets sprayed in the face while nursing at least once a day... she doesn't seem to mind though!!!!

I have lots of milk as my lo has never been able to empty one breast even during a feeding. However I don't really every leak. I have but only a couple of time and not for a long while. I don't even wear nursing pads as the most I will leak (which doesn't happen often) will be the size of a dime and not worth it. It never even soaks through my bra.

I bought the LILY PADZ and they are a lifesaver. I hated the disposable pads, and they were making my breast itchy. I lOOOOve the Lily Padz. They are reusable silicone and attach directly to ur breast w/ out adhesive. They are washable, clear and STOP leaking. I was a huge leaker and wore them all day (10 hrs) yesturday at the amusement park and nothing leaked:-) U can also use them instead of having to constantly wear a bra (awful in summer time) b/c they are clear. I can now wear tube tops w/ out fear of leaking or having to wear a strapless.

Hello all. I think I stop leaking around 7 months. I never did find a nursing pad good enough and instead used the newborn disposable nappies (diaper). Sounds insane for sure, believe it or not they were more comfy than those awful pads that fill in no time and stick to your boobs. I'll use them this time too if I need to.
