i usually give the bottle to my little girl soon after she finishes brestfeed. I dont know if this is ok though... how am i gonna be able to know that she took all the milk needed while brestfeeding...Actually she takes 10 minutes from one breast and then another 10 from the other.... and sometimes she takes the bottle afterwards but sometimes not. Any advice?

She probably doesn't need the bottle. If you want to keep up your milk supply, it's better to let her keep stimulating your breasts for a while. That will help milk production. In general you make as much milk as your LO needs, so if she's still hungry but you dont' let her keep trying to nurse, your body won't make more milk for next time. I'd leave off on the bottle for a while. I'm curious, did your doc tell you to do this? I've never heard of such a thing. Good luck on the breastfeeding. ~spam
