my daughter turned 1 a week ago and i am wanting to wein her from having a breastfeed to get to sleep.

i have tried to give her bottles with no success, my partner has turned whilst i wasn't in the house and yes we have tried letting her cry it out but we have had no success as she holds her breathe and we have had to blow in her face to catch it again.

she loves full cream milk in a sipper cup or real cup. she eats like a horse and when ever it comes to sleep time she just wants to suck on my nipples. she doesn't really take the milk unless i try to pull her away when she is just going to sleep and then she full on grabs the boob and sucks like crazy.

please help as this is starting to drive me insane.

Does your dd have a pacifier? I know my ds loves to comfort nurse at night and we put him to bed with his blankie and pacifier. Maybe try introducing that and just rock her for a few minutes before bed while she's sucking on that, giving her lots of love and cuddles before bedtime. It sounds like she just wants to suck as she drifts off and isn't really hungry. Good luck!
