Leaking

I am 27 weeks along and have just started leaking something from my right breast. What is it? Is it normal? Am i producing milk already???

Hi ukeemom,
from everything I have read (and experienced) it is completely normal to begin producing colostrum (pre-milk) or actual milk before birth. Every woman is different so it sounds like you just started producing early. Leaking is also normal, I leaked colostrum through my third trimester. From what I have heard you should only be concerned if there is pain or foul odor or color, if so contact your provider. Good luck!

Its perfectly normal and also a good sign you will have a good amount of milk when your baby is born. By some nursing pads and stick them in your bra so you dont have any embarressment.

Also don't be surprised if it is bright yellow. This is normal for colostrum but it will stain so wear pads.
