Not Sure If I Can Still Pump, Help!

It may just take time for your supply to come in. When did you give birth? It's not clear from your first post. But it typically takes anywhere from 2-5 days for the milk to come in; some women are faster, some are longer. But to get it going, you NEED to nurse or pump at least 8-12 times in a 24 hour period. You still have plenty of time to make it work if you are still in the first week. I'd simply make it my priority to nurse or pump for the next few weeks. That's your job right now -- to feed that baby, and to do that, you need to increase your supply . Someone else should be changing the diapers and doing everything else. Did the nursing in the hospital go well? How are you feeding the baby now? HTH |
