Hi all breastfeeding moms, I need your help. My son is 21/2month old and i am breastfeeding him. But i have couple of questions, my son is not a very good eater he only drank for 5 mins including both the sides most of the times only one breast and if i try to feed him other side he never drank. From two days my breast are not sore and i dont feel the fullness of breasts i use to feel before 2 days. Does this mean my milk has decreased, I am so woried, if so is there a way to increase my milk. Please ladies help me i need you guys advice i feel so bad for my lil one as he is sucking for longer time and i feel he is not getting enough.

Drink as much water as you can - your pee should be very light yellow - if it's dark yellow, you're not drinking enough for yourself, let alone the baby. Let him bf as often as he wants - it will increase your supply. Talk to your babies pediatrician - s/he may suggest a lactation consultant. When I'm feeling paranoid that I'm not producing as much milk, I take a few fenugreek tablets (herbal supplement - you can get at GNC) - this works for some, not for others - works great for me. If I take 2 tablets 3 times a day - I feel fuller within about 2-3 days. Also - get rest any way you can - forget the housework - sleep when your baby sleeps. You may also want to try to pump after your baby eats - your body will think he is nursing more and try to keep up with the demand.

Hi! I just came form the doctor and she suggested either taking brewer's yeast or drinking a beer. The yeast in the beer helps milk supply. My mother-in-law told me that's what she used to do years agao and I thought she was amking it up, but she wasn't, she was right.

Oh yeah, she also said there is something called Mother's Tea, but I do not know where you get it.

I recently purchased mother's milk tea last week at a organic store and within two days I noticed a huge change in my milk supply.
