I've ben trying to breastfeed for over a month.. Had some professional help to no avail. Last week my mother -n law just flew in to help me. But not good either.. my baby just can't latch on. Every time he's at the breast, he screams and yells and refses to have even the nipple in his mouth; even though he may be very hungry. She says that's because my nipples are very short and small(She even tried to put my baby to her breast to prove the point. And the sad part is this- my baby latched right on to her breast and seem to be content suckling evn when she's got no milk.). I;ve also tried pumping to draw out th nipple b4 feeding him still no use. tried nipple sheild too.. what can i do?? Am at my wits' end. And if I really do not succeed, I'll just stick to expressing and then feeding him by a bottle. but i just wonder how long i can last like tt. It's so tiring esp in the middle of the night when my baby is hungry, he'll cry until he gets milk and it takes so long to heat up the milk.. someone please help.
