I just had a c-section 10 days ago, and I feel perfectly fine today. There is still a slight tightness where the incision is, but other than that I'm able to do normal things that I used to do, and my incision is healing quite nicely. My question is, how much time should I wait before I'm able to drive again?

The doctors recommend 6 weeks, cause if you have to slam on your brakes, your wound could pop open! sounds awful, but hope this helps, I didn't drive for 6 weeks, just in case!

i was told i had to wait 6 weeks before i drove as my insurance company would not insure me for this length of time. I went to my doctor after 2 weeks and had it put on my medicalnotes that i was fit to drive.

I drove 5 days after my section. My husband doesn't have a license, so I had to drive. The first time that you will drive, anything over 50km seems to be too fast. It hurt a little when I got behind the wheel, and sometimes now its still hurts now, 8 weeks later.

My surgeon recommended that I wait one week before driving. I drove 10 days after and felt fine.

We got stuck in the snow on the way home from the hospital and I either had to drive or push so I drove. That was only 4 days after and it probably wasn't the smartest thing but I was alright.

My OB wouldn't let me drive till he removed the staples. (4 weeks) Even though you feel fine and like you can drive, you can damage something internally so don't till you have your staples removed.
