Question For Those Who Had A Child At Home.....

.....while you were in the hospital. How long did your husband/boyfriend/partner stay with you in the hospital. We have someone to stay with our daughter (2.5 yrs old) for 2 nights and then he will be home with her after that. How long did your children stay at the hospital when they came to visit you?

My daughter was almost three. She stayed with her Nana while we were in the hospital. My husband stayed with me the whole time, but I had my second on a Tuesday morning and was home later afternoon on Thursday. She was at the hospital during the section and stayed most of the day. Then we didn't see her again until we were home. Saying that, we are an hour away from our hospital.

We had a sitter for a day and possibly over night then my husband went and got our 18 month old and she stayed in the hospital the whole day with my husband then he took her home and took care of her until I got out. I had a section and so I stayed 5 days. With our other children we had sitters until I came home so if it was two days or three days they watched them for us, it was usually friends who we didn't have to pay to watch them for us it was a favor.
