Should It Be Burning?

As long as you are not doing more than the recommended level of activity (no lifting anything heavier than your baby, limited use of stairs, minimal driving, etc.), the burning sensation is within the range of recovery time. I know it's hard, but you need much more time to heal completely. I didn't feel totally mobile till the 10th week postpartum. Get help with housework and chores, and try and rest as much as you can. Oh, and do try and walk (slowly) everyday. Helps the healing. For the coughing, hold a cushion against your stomach to soften the pressure. |
